I would have given a five star rating as the mirrors are quite good. However, I had to cut one of the mounting studs shorter on the driver side mirror as it (the stud) was touching the mirror control assembly and wire harness. Other than that, I pull a 32' Jayco Flight and the mirrors are fantastic.1305846

They are still fantastic, I like the ability to fold them down when not towing. After a winter of snow, the heater function works quite well.

1. The screw down wire strap sits on boss that sticks up about 3/16 of an inch right in front of the hole where the grommet and wires go through which caused the mirror from sitting properly on the door. After grinding the boss off and shortening the screws up, the mirrors fit good on the outside. (I did this on both sides).

2. Now to the drivers door panel, it would not fit back on because with the stiffener plate and longer screws, the rotatory mirror switch hit the upper bolt and held the panel away from the door a good 1/4 inch. I made a flanged cup to recess the nut below plate and cut the stud down flush. And everything fit fine. The stiffener plate really needs to be redesigned with a shorter stud in that position and the screw boss should be removed. But once I fixed all the problems, I love the mirrors.1196874

I was pleased with the courteous service from the etrailer representative. I bought these to replace non-power towing mirrors on a vehicle we recently purchased to use pulling our travel trailer. I was disappointed when printed on the box was Made in Taiwan after being told they were made in the USA. That being said, the appearance of the mirrors is good, the power function works well and the installation is simple. They do have minor shaking at highway speeds. I have given a 4 star rating to this product vs giving it 5 stars based upon the above mentioned facts.482850

Dodge

The install was fairly easy after door panel removal. I was able to do that without any special tools. I considered many different similar mirrors that are available and decided on these. The others all had vibration issues. These mirrors do not vibrate on my 1998 Dodge. The only issue I had is two fasteners could be about 3/16 of an inch shorter as these two do touch the door panel assembly when you reinstall it. It has not caused problems but it was a concern when I put everything back together.1286610

Assembly was pretty much straight forward. I do not remember seeing a paper set of instructions with these mirrors. Hardest part is removing the door panels with their 13 individual plastic fasteners. It helps if the door is warm when removing the panels, less likely to tear the plastic parts. After installing the mirrors there was a slight gap where the plastic cowling on the mirrors buts up against the outside of the doors at the top of the triangular apex. I was not able to get rid of the gap no matter how tight the mirrors were fastened. I just lived with it. Mirrors seem solid and sturdy and don't vibrate much at highway speed. The heated option does a good job of clearing the frost on the mirrors. I really like that the mirrors fold in almost flush with the windows. Makes it easier to get around in the single car garage. Overall a good set of mirrors.599079

Replaced factory sport mirrors with these for towing a fifth wheel. These mirrors made a huge difference and there was little vibration at speed. Other cheaper mirrors I looked at had bad reviews about wire routing and shorting. These have the wiring routed to come out in the factory location. Easy install, the door panel removal was the hardest part.211143

Quality is great! Only negative I've had on my truck is mirrors did no mate flush on door leaving a gap between black plastic ..of mirrors, and door metal. Just looks stupid. All else has been great. Adjustability, scope of view, minimal wind rattle. Been a great buy! 501194
