This powered tailgate lock helps prevent thieves from stealing your tailgate. It also helps prevent theft of your cargo when used with a tonneau cover or camper shell.
This stainless steel lock mounts inside your truck's tailgate handle, so potential thieves can't pop it out. The lock is installed using basic tools - no welding or drilling is necessary. And it wires directly into your powered lock system using quick splice connectors. This lets you lock your tailgate when you use your vehicle's fob to lock your doors.

Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the pop and lock custom tailgate lock. Now, this lock is going to mount inside your vehicle's tailgate handle. It's going to prevent anyone from opening up your tailgate. So if you don't have a camper shell or a tunnel cover, it will prevent them from being able to open the tailgate and remove the tailgate. If you have a camper shell or a tonneau cover, it will also serve as a theft deterrent.
So they can't get inside your truck bed so you can store anything back there and it's going to keep it nice and safe.This is going to be very easy to get installed. You're not going to have to do any drilling or welding, just simply goes in from the backside of your tailgate. So again, people can't get access to it to dismantle it. It is a powered system. So it's going to work with your vehicles.
Key fob, all the wiring that you're going to need is included.Keep in mind, this is a custom fit one. So it is going to work with your 2016 through 2019 Chevy Silverado, 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500. So if you have one of those vehicles, this is going to be the lock that you need to ensure that your tailgate is going to stay locked when you want it to be. This does come with a one year warranty. So if something we're to happen, you weren't satisfied with it, you could give us call and we would help you out with that.
But I really don't think you're going to have any problems. I think it's going to be a great solution, make sure that everything is staying nice and secure. And they do include instructions to walk you step by step through the installation, which again is very simple, very easy to do, but they do include the instructions to help you with that. So overall, going to be a great system to ensure that your tailgate is locked on your pickup truck. So that's going to complete our look for today.
