Ideal for Part-Time RVers

When you're taking your RV on the road for weeks at a time, you'll want to make sure your toilet can handle that long a journey. This toilet is built for part-time RVers who use their RV more frequently than just on the weekends. It's just as tall as a standard residential toilet, so it's easy to sit down on and get up from. The ceramic bowl is more durable and easier to clean than a plastic bowl. And the lid closes slowly, so it won't loudly slam against the rim. This toilet provides the durability and ease of use needed for your long RV adventures.

Measure to Fit

RV toilet rough in measurement

There's one measurement you should double check to see if this toilet will easily fit into your bathroom. The rough-in measurement is the minimum distance you'll need from the wall to the center of the flange on which the toilet will sit. To measure this distance without uninstalling your current toilet, the mounting bolts on the side will typically tell you where the center of the flange is. You may want to triple check if your toilet has an offset flange or 4-bolt mounting style.

The Dometic 310 Series RV toilet has a rough-in measurement of 10". If your rough-in measurement is less than 10", select a toilet model with a lower requirement or consider alterations to make it fit. Keep in mind the overall dimensions of the toilet, and measure for yourself to pick the best model for an easy DIY upgrade.

Huge improvement! We purchased this to replace a Dometic 300. We could not locate the foul smell in our RV until we learned that it was the 300 had a defective gasket! Instead of replacing it, we ordered the 310.
No more smell! The 300 had a lot of nasty "liquid" in it!
The 310 is so much nicer, we love the slow-close lid and porcelain bowl.
Installation took 10 minutes! Thank you, E-trailer!

It is still working great. We are very happy that we upgraded to it.

by:

It arrived missing one of the seat hinge nuts. It took a lot of push but etrailer came through sending me via Dometic the part that was missing. We had a professional install the toilet along with other updates. It appears to be work fine. We have not actually sat & used it. The RV is still in refurbishing & upgrading. But we did flush the black tank out and ran a flushing wand through the toilet to help that event. It appears to be sealed. My husband does not like the quite soft closing lids. He would rather have them more regular fair. It's not his RV it's a SHE model and SHE loves the toilet & Miss Mini MO loves her new upgraded toilet and MaxAir Dome Exhaust Fan & bathroom sink faucet all from etrailer too. Hoping to have her road ready by mid June.

by:

Shipping only took a day but ups broke the first one. It was promptly replaced and easily installed, took about 10 mins. Did away with all the squeaky night time potty visits. We are much happier with this toilet that replaced the 300 series.

by:

Did my research, choose this one, received it in a timely manor, installed it,used it last season, very please with it all!!! Ordering, communication was great, product is great, all is good!

@Kirk That's great to hear! Thanks for the feedback!

by:

Toilet was well packaged. It is as described. However I was surprised that no paperwork came with it — no installation instructions, no warranty info, and no manual.

by:

Works great. Easy to install. Had a Dometic 300 and would leak. This one seems a tad taller also.

by:

I purchased this toilet one year ago. I installed it myself after watching a you tube video. I had a little trouble with the rubber gasket that seals water in the toilet. I needed to get a new rubber gasket, but other than that the toilet works great, and I love the slow close lid. I believe it is lighter than the factory toilet so that helps with additional weight in the RV.

by:

Came quickly and fairly easy to install - a little hard to get the mounting bolts to stay in one place when mounting but got it in place. Another great service from etrailer!

by:

The product looks amazing. I haven't actually tried it yet, but the installation went seamlessly. E-trailer has been my go to place for trailer parts.

by:

The toilet (310 model) in our 5th wheel needed to be replaced after 7 years. I found exactly what I needed at a great price. Shipping was quick and I already have the new toilet in and it is perfect.

by:

We love everything about this toilet except the flush valve seal ring. When I installed the toilet the ring didn’t seal; it would not hold water despite my doing everything Dometic recommended for a new install. Etrailer sent me a new seal ring, and that worked, for a few months. Then it would not hold water again, so I replaced it again. I’ve replaced it one more time since, and I carry spare seals now. It’s an easy fix, but annoying to have to deal with. Clearly the seal is not designed and/manufactured correctly. In spite of the issue, I still like the toilet, and etrailer was easy to work with on the 1st seal replacement.

by:

Great product. I'm a Mobile RV Tech and I've installed many of these Dometic 310 toilets for my customers as well as my own RV. E-trailer gets it there quick and the product works great.

by:

This toilet is so much studier than the cheaply made 300 series one that came in my 2019 Springdale travel trailer that leak between seals and smelled

by:

This toilet will not hold water since I purchased. I've taken the gasket out and cleaned the flapper, gasket and bowl where it is inserted several times. Can you send me a gasket replacement

I reached out to the manufacturer and they advised it does sound like it needs repairs. I will send you the link to their website that can show you repair centers that are close to you.

Our toilet is still working great after a year - thank you so much for asking - excellent customer service!

@Steven That's great to hear. Glad to hear you have something to go on...

by:

It was easy to install but I wish the base design was a bit different. It is really difficult to see the base floor bolts in order to loosen or tighten them. Other than that, I love the toilet. The soft close lid makes me laugh because any little vibration will set the close feature. I prefer to think that it is a MAJIC lid!

by:

Easy upgrade, definitely worth it!

by:

Previously had the all plastic bowl, the 310 with both seats being soft close is pretty fancy stuff. You sit slightly higher which is more comfortable. Good product altogether, I would recommend this model RV toilet

by:

The Dometic 310 toilet replaced the Thetford toilet in our 2011 fifth wheel. I like that the water flushes from all around the top of the rim instead of just the back. Keeps the bowl much cleaner. When it's time to change the ball seal we can do that from the top of the bowl instead of having to remove the whole toilet to replace the seal. A great upgrade.

by:

Fast prompt shipping. Easy company to work with.

by:

Really happy with this toilet. My last Dometic toilet leaked and smelled really bad as it was a two piece toilet and allowed waste to leak into the hollow parts of the toilet. This does not have the same design and has bee solid, feels much better (sturdier) than a plastic unit and good height. This is a must do if you have the older 300 series units.

by:

Great toilet, just wish the elongated bowl (320 series, I think) would have fit. The 310 feels solid, much better than the plastic factory model.

by:

The toilet is taller than a regular RV toilet and it is made a lot better. I would buy this unit again.

  • Recommended Replacement For A Dometic 300 RV Toilet
You can replace your current Dometic 300 with the Dometic Full-Timer RV Toilet # DOM27FR ( # DOM87FR for white) if you like the elongated bowl design or you can replace it with a Dometic Part-Timer RV Toilet # DOM57FR if you just want another standard bowl design. Both of these toilets do require an 11" mounting distance to have enough clearance from the rear of the toilet seat to the wall. It really just comes down to your own personal preference.
