Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Prest-O-Fit black three-piece step rug set for your Lippert Solid Step RV steps. Now, this rug set is going to wrap around each of the three steps on your Lippert Solid Step RV steps, with the 20 1/8th-inch-wide steps. And on your screen, I am including the model number of these steps that I have here on my table that this rug set is going to fit. Now, as I hope you can see, I do have the top and the bottom step rug installed. I have the middle one, I left that one uninstalled just so I can walk you through the installation process.

This material is made of heavy duty UV-protected outdoor turf. This is going to be resistant to fading as well as to mold and mildew. The strong bristle fibers are gonna do a great job of removing dirt and debris from the bottom of your shoes, so there's gonna be less sweeping and mopping inside of your RV, which is always a good thing. Now, a few additional benefits that these will give you is first, if you're in an area where there's inclement weather, and maybe you've got some rain, or moisture, or even some snow on your metal step, that can be kinda slippery sometimes. When you have this rug set on these steps, that's going to greatly increase the traction that you're gonna have going up and down these steps during inclement weather.

So it gives you some extra confidence and it's going to be a nice thing to have, especially during bad weather. An additional benefit is that the carpeted design is gonna be great for your pets, as it covers that hard, uninviting, metal step. So that might scare them off, so that's another benefit to consider if you're looking at a set like this. Now, let me go ahead and show you the backside of this rug. Each of these rugs have a texturized rubberized back, which is going to help keep them in place, along with some additional methods to help keep them secured.

You're gonna apply these hook-and-loop fasteners, and then also the star of the show is going to be these steel springs. These steel springs are going to give you just enough tension to hold each of these step rugs in place. Now I would like to go ahead and walk through the installation process here on this step, just to show you what the installation is going to look like. I wanted to mention that these steel springs, as you can see, has hooks on either side. These are zinc-plated, so they're gonna hold up really well against the elements.

They're not going to rust or corrode, so they're gonna last you quite a long time and give you that tension that you need. Now, I would recommend probably raising these steps to install this rug set because that would make it easier, you're actually gonna be able to see what you're doing. And I just wanna show you how these springs are going to attach underneath the step. So you're gonna run the hook in the holes there, just like that, and then just along these holes here on either side, that's how you're gonna connect these springs. So let me go ahead and put this rug back on the step and walk through that. I'm not really able to see clearly what's going on here, so I'm just gonna kinda feel my way through this. But still, it's gonna give you just an idea of just how easy this is going to be to install. So I've got my first hook installed on that hole, and I'm gonna bring this around just like that. And so as you can see, I've got my first spring in place, and then I'm just gonna keep going, inserting the second spring, finding that hole here. (rug rustling) And I think I got it, there we go, so I've got the second spring in place. So again, I'm kinda doing this blind, but it'll be a whole lot easier when you can actually see what's going on. And so, as I mentioned, each step rug is held on there by that texturized rubber underside, the hook-and-loop fasteners, and then the springs. So once you have all of those in place, you're not gonna have to worry about this slipping or anything like that, they're gonna hold really well in place. I'm really amazed at just how well the springs do at providing that tension. So we have this installed, that's what it's going to look like. You can see that it fits really well along with the other rugs there. And once you have those hook-and-loop fasteners in place, like I said, they're gonna be solid, you're not gonna have to worry about them moving. So no screws, no glue, no tools needed, that's how easy the installation is going to be. And that top rug, even though it's a little bit deeper, is going to install much the same way with the springs and the hook-and-loop fasteners. Instructions are gonna be included on the back of the packaging. And again, this is in black, Prest-O-Fit calls it "obsidian black." If you like the step rugs but you're not too crazy about the color, well the good news is we do carry this in brown as well. Prest-O-Fit calls it "buckskin brown." And I've got a brown step rug there, just to show you the difference. Lemme give you an overhead view there as well, just so you can see the difference between the black and the brown.
