Buyers Products 8 Ton Combination Hitch combines both a ball hitch and pintle hook in one product. It allows you to pull loads that have either a coupler or a drawbar/pintle ring without having to change hitches. Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the 8-ton bolt on combination Pintle Hitch with the 50 millimeter ball. Now, this combination hitch will combine both a ball hitch and a Pintle Hook in one product. It allows you to pull loads that have either a coupler or a draw bar lunette ring without having to change hitches. Uses a very easy to use latch right here to open it up and a single piece drop forwards lower jaw. The ball is a forged 50 millimeter size steel hitch ball. It is interchangeable with other diameter hitch balls.This has a nice durable corrosion resistant powder coat finish over the whole part.
This hitch is ideal for contractors, tradesmen, and haulers who tow a range of construction equipment. The hitch is a bolt on installation and includes all the mounting information with specs, a drilling template, and a VO capacity decal. Now the mounting kit to install this, we do sell separately on our website. It is listed on this product page as a related product. It's part number 3378520, and includes all the hardware you need to install this.
Now the maximum gross trailer weight capacity on this is 16,000 pounds. Maximum vertical load or tongue weight capacity is 3,000 pounds.I do want to give you a few dimensions on this. The depth of it, from the very front here to the very back of the base plate, is going to be right at 7". The base plate itself, the dimension, the width on it is 4-1/2". The height at the widest part is going to be 3-1/4" tall.
The inner diameter, right in here, is 2" x 2". Just to show you how this operates, you have a snapper pin right up here or a safety pin that you can unclip it, fill it out, that'll release the latch, and then if you just put your fingers on the latch and pull up on it, you can see that it'll release it. Then you can hook up your Lunette Ring or your coupler to the ball.If you need to close it, all you have to do is push it down, that'll close it. Take your safety pin, slide it through, clip it, and that'll lock that into position, keep it from opening. Then again, just to open it, release that, grab your latch, pull up on it, and it'll open up just like that.

We’ve had this hitch for a year now and it has given us good service. We tow a 20 ton trailer hauling an excavator regularly and the hitch performs well. etrailer.com has excellent customer service also. Would highly recommend.

This was my first time ordering with etrailer and I can’t believe how fast I received the products (2days!!) and with free shipping as well . The products are top quality and as described online . The only thing I would add is that I ordered a trailer pintle hitch and a drop mount , and neither one had the bolts to mount the two together nor did I see it offered for sale as a “kit” to be purchased . That would be a nice compliment to add to the package .

Developed quite a bit of surface rust not long after installation on surfaces not in contact with trailering. Safety pin does not pass through hitch in open position like all my other pintle hitches. If connected to ball hitch, the pin hangs from chain until it falls off.

the pintle hitch is well built, got it in only a few days, i will be pulling a ten ton 25 foot 8 wheel trailer with a bobcat and other equipment.
so i need heavy duty stuff. everyone make sure you buy grade 8 bolts and assemble your hitch. there are only 4 bolts that holds all that weight behind your rig. very satisfied with the product.
