Today we're going to review part number AUT-BFT2-S. This is the automotive gold Built Ford Tough stainless steel trailer hitch cover for 2 inch hitches with a brushed stainless steel finish. Now this is an officially licensed Built Ford Tough hitch cover. It is designed to slide into your 2 inch hitch receiver. Helps keep out any dirt, and helps prevent rust from building up. Does use a riveted face plate design.
Gives your vehicle an industrial look. It is 3 layers, an outer plate, inner plate, and then the layer in the middle. This 3 layer face provides a distinctive appearance. The brushed stainless steel front and the back won't rust. The middle is actually a durable blue plastic middle layer.
It shows the lettering through there. It's a laser cut lettering and logo, which will display the blue through there. Gives you nice intricate detail. It is stainless steel construction, even this sleeve that slides into the 2 inch hitch opening is stainless steel. Also is a 1 piece riveted construction, so there's no assembly required.
Now it is drilled with the multiple hole locations, so it'll line up to your exact hitch location. Does use a hitch pin and clip, or a hitch lock. We do sell those separately, or you can use your one you already have. This part is made in the USA. Again the specs on this.
It's application is for 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitch receivers, and it does come with a limited lifetime warranty. Excellent choice! Compliments my truck nicely. This is actually the second time I have bought this same hitch cover. You know it has to be good to buy it twice!
Had to wait a few weeks as my Ford Hitch cover was back ordered, but well worth the wait! etrailer was great to keep me updated through email while I waited. Love the product it looks great on my new Ford F150. I will definitely order again from them .
Love this hitch cover! Had to buy a new one after getting hit from behind recently and didn't even bother looking for a different cover. Fits and looks great on the back of my F-150. etrailer makes the ordering process easy and even the standard shipping is fast. It does not come with a retaining pin so you will have to get one separate. Order this hitch cover, you'll love it like I do.
I Ordered A hitch receiver cap plug plate and very good quality, Easy installation, and my neighbor Who also has a ford pick-up and ask me where I found this unit. I gave him the info and he could not get over how it complimented the rear of the truck. The logo reads: Built Ford Tough!!!
Looks great but it is aluminum where it fits into hitch. Still it looks great.

The cover really dresses up the back hitch and makes a huge improvement on aesthetics.
