This SeaSucker fishing rod holder is designed to hold big rigs for catching big fish. It uses a 6" vacuum cup that mounts to most vertical, non-porous surfaces on your boat, such as your gunwales or sidewalls. It has support legs that prevent the rod from collapsing when it's under the force of lateral pull from large fish. The support legs have plastic caps on the ends that protect your boat's finish. The holder is open on the bottom so it won't hold water and damage your rod, and it's made from anodized aluminum so it resists corrosion, even in salt water.
This vacuum cup holder is quick and easy to mount. To install the holder make sure the mounting surface is clean and place the cup on your boat then press the pump several times until the orange band disappears. To break the seal and remove the holder from your boat simply pull the T-shaped tab up and towards the center of the cup. As suction decreases over time the plunger will extend from the cup. When the orange indicator band shows simply re-pump the plunger.

Today we're going to take a look at the SeaSucker Marine 6" vacuum mount aluminum fishing rod holder. Now this mount will attach to a flat surface, like on your boat, using the vacuum mount. Pole rating on the vacuum mount is 210 pounds. Provides this nice holder here for your fishing rod to insert into. Has a nice aluminum finish on the holder. Gives you a original equipment look on your boat.
The holder, if you notice, has support legs right here, built-in right above and below the 6" vacuum mount, the legs do have plastic caps on them to protect your boat's finish. Does also have this hard plastic protective cap on the vacuum mount that's included to protect it. This is a white mount, with a nice aluminum holder. This part is made in the USA. Now it does also come with this tube of lubricant, and what that's used for is to maintain your vacuum mount. Over time when you use this plunger to apply the vacuum, it might get dirt or grime in there that'll cause it to stick or get slow to activate.
What you can do is pull that plunger out. There's a gasket on the inside, just clean that off, put the lubricant they include in the tube there, put it on there, put the plunger back in it'll work just as good as new. Now I do want to give you some dimensions on this. The diameter of the vacuum mount itself is going to be right at 6", the length on the rod holder is going to be right at 9.75", the diameter is right at 2" and the depth of this from the mounting surface, how far this extends out, is going to be right at 4.75" deep. Now I do want to demonstrate this, how this attaches. We're going to put it right up against the wall right back here to give you an idea.
Then your plunger's over here, you'll see the orange stripe on it. What you want to do is just hold it up against the flat surface and then just start pushing that plunger, and as you keep pushing that plunger what will happen is eventually when that orange stripe goes away, that means that it has enough suction. Now you don't see it anymore. Push it a little bit more just like that, you won't see that orange stripe and you can see it's now secured to the wall or your surface on your boat, so it's not going to go anywhere. The nice thing about it, to remove it you'll see there's a tab here and a tab over here. All you have to do is pull on that tab and if you pull that tab enough, let's try it right over here, there you go.
You pull up on this tab here and that'll release the suction, so it makes it very easy to install and very easy to remove. That should do it for the review on the SeaSucker Marine 6" vacuum mount aluminum fishing rod holder.

The rod and gaff holder does a very good job. In rough seas at times it will fail but that isn’t often
