Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. This wiring harness has been designed to fit your 2022 and newer Toyota Corolla Cross with LED taillights. Now, this harness is going to give you a four-pole flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights. This is also going to be compatible with five-pole, six-pole, and seven-pole adapters.

Those adapters are sold separately. And included here is this dust cap for the four-pole flat connector. And if you notice, this dust cap is actually tethered to the plug housing, so that's going to ensure that you're not going to accidentally misplace it or lose it. And as you probably know, that dust cap is going to cover up those connection points when this plug is not in use. The black box that we have here on this harness is the ModuLite Power Module, and this ModuLite is going to make sure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer.

This is going to connect directly to your vehicle's battery to avoid overloading the vehicle's electrical system, reducing strain on the vehicle's wiring system. And this is not going to affect how your taillights on your Corolla Cross are going to operate. This harness is designed to connect quickly and easily, so you're not gonna have to worry about splicing wires or making alterations to the wiring of your vehicle, which could lead to damage and possibly avoiding warranties. So these custom-fit T-One connectors are going to plug into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area on both the driver's and passenger sides. You will need to...

You might need to remove like a threshold cover or things like that to actually get to that wiring harness, but these T-connectors are custom-fitted for your vehicle, so they are going to match up perfectly with the connection points on the vehicle. And they're going to snap and lock together for a tight, secure fit. Now, once you have these plugged in, you will need to make a good ground connection. And this ground wire is the.. The ground wire, rather, is this white wire.

If you notice, it does have a ring terminal attached to it, also comes with a self-tapping screw. So you can get this grounded to a suitable location, such as your vehicle's frame or cross-member. You do wanna make sure that that surface is clean and rust-free. Next, you will wanna mount this ModuLite box to a safe, out-of-the-way location. You can do that with another mounting screw that you might have on hand, or you can use this included double-sided adhesive tape, or maybe even one of the many cable ties that come with this kit. And you will get quite a few cable ties that maybe you could use to secure this. You just wanna make sure that it's out of the way and it's not going to be loose and flopping around inside of your vehicle after you install this. Then you will need to run the hot lead to your vehicle's battery. That's the short black wire that's coming out of the ModuLite box. This short black wire is going to get connected to one end of this included bundle of black wire using one of the butt connectors that you see there, and then the other end of this bundle is going to get routed to your vehicle's battery. So once you have this routed to your battery, you're going to take this fuse holder, you're gonna snip that wire there in half so you can have two wires there. And then you're gonna take one of those wires with the second butt connector and connect that to the routed end of this bundle of wire. And then the other wire will get this ring terminal attached to it, and then that ring terminal is going to attach to the positive post of your vehicle's battery. This does come with a 15-amp fuse, and that fuse will pop right into that fuse holder. And then this does have a cap here to keep that fuse safe and protected. Now, you can secure any slack that you might have in your wiring with, again, you can see how many cable ties this kit comes with. So you're gonna have plenty of cable ties to secure any loose wiring that you might have after you install this. And then once installation is complete, you can stow this four-way flat connector in your rear cargo area, or you could check out our bracket options that we have here at etrailer.com. And you can wire this in such a way where you can mount this outside of your vehicle near your trailer hitch receiver and mount it with a bracket, if you so desire, so it's more easily accessible. The maximum amperage for the stop/turn lights is five amps per circuit. For the taillights, it's 7.5 amps per circuit. So this is going to hold up really well for you and give you many, many years of really good service. Instructions are included to guide you through that installation process. And it is also recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease on all of your electrical connections, like the plugs on your vehicle and the four-pole connector itself.
