The single best upgrade I’ve done to our fifth wheel. Installation took a few hours in my driveway. We camp as a family of four with a dog. Someone sneezing used to shake our trailer - now the stability is greatly improved with almost no shake. Adds a few minutes to setup time - but absolutely worth it.

One year in - still the best upgrade weve done to our Fifth Wheel. Product has held up well - no rust or functional issues, and works as well as the day I installed it. All good!

Love the stabilizers put on front and back of my 33 foot 5th wheel solid it up amazely. Deffintly would recommend them.Thank you etrailer best price and best quality.

by:

Took about 3 hours and two beers to install. As far as the instruction sheet, pretty sure if they tried they couldn't make the instructions more confusing. I just watched a couple videos. Did not take out 100 % of the movement, still quite satisfied with results. Would recommend

by:

They work effectively and easily to help stabilize our fifth wheel.

by:

Great to deal with super fast shipping

Before I purchased the Strong Arm my travel trailer would shake considerably when someone would move around the trailer. Since installing the Strong Arm system (which was quite easy to do) movement about the trailer is no longer an irritating issue.

by:

This was a great buy. Much more stabilization in our camper than before. We are very pleased with the product.

by:

Took the sway out 95%. Excellent customer service! Quality product.

by:

These are great and made our small 5th wheel rock solid, I mean night and day compared to just landing gear and rear stabilizers. I did have to do some minor fabrication for both the front and the rear. The front was due to the spare tire being mounted under the front of our rig. Also the instructions really suck as do most Lippert components instructions. Way too many words that don't really seem to be coherent, seems like just a few words and some good quality pictures would be more helpful.

by:

Very pleased I made this purchase. It has totally changed the stability of our fifth wheel. Very easy to install and well made.

by:

Made my 5th wheel toy hauler rock solid.

by:

This is a great for stabilizing a 5th wheel!! Way more affective than a tripod! Easy install for anybody that had a drill and good drill bits!!

by:

I think Lippert should make a third kit that contains the correct hardware for the hydraulic style leveling system. Instead you have to add $XXX worth of pieces to complete the install, while discarding the $XXX worth of stuff that you can’t use. That is a hidden cost.

The quality is good.
I expect it to control the shaking, once I finish the install.

by:

The JT Strongarms have nice thick finish to guard against rust, the install was easy and our 30' fifth wheel is really stable now, feels solid. Worth every penny.

by:

We have motorized stabilizer jacks on our 33'camper. The JT Strongarm jacks did not provide the extra stability we were hoping for. There is still a lot of motion when anyone in the camper moves.

by:

The Strong Arm stabilizers have worked great. After locking the stabilizers, the majority of trailer movement from walking around in the trailer has been eliminated. I highly recommend.

by:

These weren’t the easiest to install but man do they make the trailer way more stable. I also added two manual stabilizers under the slide out. The JT Strong Arms and the slide out stabilizers, you can jump around inside and can barely tell. Great addition.

by:

This stopped 99 percent of all movement in our 5th wheel.

by:

Installed the front stabilizers on my 35’ cougar 5er in around 2 hours. The style of our rear electric jack and being insulated requires I add a 3x3 crossmember to anchor to. A job for a latter date.
Just adding the front stabilizers is an improvement over the tripod we were using . One less thing to carry and store.
The installation manual was designed for several different types landing gear which made it a bit confusing. Used Lippert”s installation video.

First, let me say the service I received from etrailer was superb. Now that’s out of the way, the very mixed reviews on the JT’s Strong Arm product is very deserved. I have not gotten to use them yet so I am just commenting on the installation.

I’m not the best mechanic in the world but was trained by USAF as an auto mechanic at the end of the Vietnam conflict so I do have some experience. The directions are nearly useless, frankly. I would rather have had them tell me in general terms how they operate and let me figure it out on my own. Once I put away the instruction sheet they were easy to install.

One tip I’m glad I read in reviews, and not mentioned in the instructions, watch where your electrical and gas lines route along the inside (sometimes hidden) part of I-beams and C-channel. Yes, you should always do that when drilling, but when frustration from reading bad directions gets in the mix it’s even more important. That one tip saved me time, money and possibly injury.

The “self-tapping” bolts did not self-tap, either. I tried running them in by hand and with a cordless 1/4” impact. Both times the self-tapping just stripped threads off which meant I had to go buy more ny-lock nuts. I got a good education on how scissor jacks are made, too. Not from the instructions, but from a mistake I made putting in the swing bolts and letting the center piece of the jack “gearbox” come loose. That could come in handy in the future.

I also read that someone ruined a scissor jack trying to move the jack up or down with the Strong Arm T-handle tightened. I am capable of learning from other’s mistakes so I am putting 3/4” silicone vacuum hose caps over my jack so I can’t run them up or down without first checking the T-handle. That should be included in the kit IMHO. The T-handle should also have a tether since it does not have any kind of thread-lock to keep them from working loose as you drive down the road if you don’t re-tighten them in the stored/up position.

I will update my review when I have a chance to use them.

I installed these on my 2018 Reflection fifth wheel with auto leveling jacks. Instructions are not very clear for rear jacks due to all the different configurations out there. I wish the instructions had more pictures too. On the rear hydraulic jack pads I used the adapter lugs P/N 314592 which meant I needed 2 more swing bolts than what came with the kit. I called Lippert and they sent me 2 more. After everything was installed the rig was solid as could be. Very happy I bought these I really enjoy ordering from you.

by:

I just installed this on my Jayco 33 ft. fifth wheel. It was huge improvement, as now it feels like walking through a house. If you can make sense of the instructions that come with the package, you are better than me. You Tube videos were a huge help. Installation for the back stabilizer was hard as I didn't order the extender product that was available (I should have got these), so I repurposed extra mounting tabs that came with the package, and welded the extra tabs on the rear mounting feet. There was not a easy access to a cross member on the rear, so I used the rear bumper. I put the nuts into the rear bumper (4" square tubing) on the end of a wrench attached to a long pipe. It was time consuming but the install was worth it.

by:

Good product helped some but didn’t remove all the movement easy to install with common sense

by:

It works fairly well. No system will be perfect in taking out all motion, but this coupled with x-jacks on the wheels takes out 95% of the wiggle.
