Today we're going to be taking a look at the Malone loop locks cable lock. This unit provides a fast and economical way to add a layer of security to prevent bike theft. The locking bracket can be attached to any one inch diameter tubing on your bike rack. Then the cable is designed to loop around the bike rack, so it simply has a looped in on one end of the cable, locking tab on the other. Place the locking tab through, pull out the slack, so this would secure around a portion of your bike rack. Run the cable through your bicycles right here into that lock housing and then it's locked. It's a really nice, easy to use design.
Again the cable loops around the bike rack and then wraps around the bikes, then the end inserts into the lock housing. This cable can be used to secure multiple bikes to your bike rack. The cable itself is made from a braided steel construction and it has a nice durable protective finish on it, that casing. That's going to prevent the cable from scratching your bikes or from scratching your bike rack. The cable itself measures 46 inches long.
It comes with this Allen wrench right here, that way you can tighten the installation bolt of the bracket and make sure the bracket is fully secure to the bicycle frame. You can see that bolt head in there. This just feeds in there and you can tighten that down. Another neat thing I like about this is once you have this tab installed, a would be theft is not going to have access to that bolt. They can't get to the bolt, loosen up the bracket and remove the cable that way, that's a really nice feature of this unit. The unit comes with two keys that are key to like.
Again this is designed to fit bike rack tubing that is one inch in diameter. Then your cable diameter measures a quarter of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the Malone loop locks cable lock.
