Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq waterproof blue LED boat accent light. If we zoom in here, you'll see it's a very small rectangular LED light. This will emit a nice blue light for improved visibility and even accent lighting aboard your boat. This will help you light up cabinets, steps, walkways and other areas of your boat's interior. This is an nice sealed waterproof unit, includes a durable polycarbonate housing and UV resistant lens.

It is a military-grade construction of the circuit board on the light. And if you look on the back here you can see it uses urethane potting which offers better protection than the common epoxy potting. Does have an IP 68 rating. Now the LEDs they use, they are premium LEDs. They're energy efficient, long lasting, vibration resistant and are rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation.

Now I do have this hooked to some 12-volt power cause I wanna show you how bright it is and the color of the light. So what we're gonna do now is we'll go ahead and turn on our power, and you can see the blue LEDs, so go ahead and turn off our overhead lights. And with the overhead lights off, you'll be able to see how bright it is. Now that is a clear lens over four blue LEDs. It is compatible with 12-volt DC system and the light output on this is 32 lumens.

Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. Go ahead and turn off our power. Now this is a surface mount installation. This will mount using a protective horizontal or vertical mounting cover which we do sell separately on our website. Now if you do mount it horizontally in the cover, just like that, it'll emit a 60 degree beam when it's mounted horizontally.

If you mount it this way vertically in the vertical cover, it'll give you a 40 degree beam. Now when you do install this, the covers that we do sell separate on our website do require two screws to install 'em. Now this does hard wire. You can see the wires, two wires here. the hard wires to your application, a power and a ground. The wire length is about eight and a half inches. Few specs on this, we're gonna give you the dimensions. So if we do the length of this light, oops. I can see is right at one and one eighth inches long. The height of it, it's right at three eight of an inch tall and the total depth on the light is a half an inch. The input voltage is nine volts to 14 volts. Power draw 0.04 to 0.07 amps. And as we mentioned earlier, the light output is 32 lumens. But that should do it for the review on this TecNiq waterproof blue LED boat accent light.
