Replace a missing Thule key with this equivalent part.I put it in the lock and the lock didn't turn. Put some lock lube in it. Pretty sure the lock is functional. They are older, maybe 20 years ago, but no signs of rust. The key slides in fine, but it doesn't seem to set in all the way, there are a few millimeters before the final notch at the top.

The key that I ordered wasn't supposed to be here until the 15th and it arrived 2 days early. It worked perfect.

This is a low tech item (a key), but since I don't think Thule makes the same model bike rack anymore I was apprehensive that I would be unable to find a replacement key for the hitch mount. I was pleased that this key fits perfectly and now I can remove/remount the bike rack as necessary. BTW, I got my Thule bike rack from eTrailer and was very pleased.
I bought this hoping it would fit a Y002 branded lock cylinder on a Harbor Freight universal roof crossbar. It did not. No fault of the seller, I knew it was a gamble. There is obviously more than one brand of lock cylinder with the Y002 designation.
They did a great job communicating and letting us know when it shipped, and making it easy for us to track during shipping.
I had a SEARS SPORT 20-SV (roof top cargo carrier )with lock numbers 2818 right above where you insert the key. I just added the letter (N) before the. So I ordered N2818 and it worked perfectly!! Two day shipping was right on time.
Worked for my 1989 VW GTI's roof rack. Very nice that you can still order older keys for older Thule units.

Poor customer service requested a key replace a few weeks ago never received it shipped out another never provided a tracking number for the 2nd one. Customer answered the phone didn’t bother to provide it either but you taken my money with no problem but yet no key. Terrible service and people skills I hope in the fitugff

A key for a Thule rooftop carriers the wrong part was sent but when I called and informed you I was shipped the correct item and it arrived today
Thank you for trying to supply a replacement key for my roof rack. Sorry to say that neither key that was sent worked in the SportRack.
The key really isn’t the problem the lock is jammed ip and I called the factory and said they won’t sell me a new lock I have to buy a whole new cargo box that’s why I’m leaving a bad review

I spoke to Thule. They indicated there are NO replacement keys for my particular roof racks. Not these. And NOT the other ones the next Customer Service Rep said would work.
Key works as it should and better than having to buy a new bike rack!
I was pleased that I was able to find the key that I needed. (I couldn’t find it on the Thule or Sportrack web sites.). Shipping was fast and the key was a perfect fit.

If its 20 years old it would no longer be supported by Thule because they have switched suppliers several times since then. But because your lock core is an N series you can replace the lock core with any N series and put this struggle behind you: Item # TH39ND.
