Today we're going to be taking a look at the bracket assembly for Polar economy side door locks. This is from Polar Hardware. The unit is made from an aluminum construction. It's going to feature a nice smooth hinge design to allow for smooth operation. The piece here on the back, that's going to have 2 mount holes on it. That's going to be the piece that gets mounted to your trailer.
Hardware is not included. The curved portion, so this portion right here, this is going to get welded onto the pipe on the door lock. This is designed for 1 inch diameter pipes. A few measurements to go over with you real quick. If we take a measurement, the distance that we have between the mount holes going center on center, that's going to give us a measurement of about 3-1/4 inches. The hinge is going to have an overall length measurement of about 4-1/2 inches.
The mount hole diameter is going to be 3/8ths of an inch. If we take a measurement from the back of the hinge to the outermost point of the unit, that's going to give us a measurement of about 4-1/8 inches.
