Video Transcript for Review of Lippert Outriggers For Manual RV Steps - LC301704

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a brief look at these Lippert Outriggers for manual RV steps. These outriggers are going to help you install your manual RV steps on your RV and these outriggers are going to work with Lippert, Stromberg Carlson, or Hickory Springs steel manual pullout steps and Lippert Tread Lite aluminum manual steps. Now, I do wanna point out that these are not for use with a single steel manual pullout step. Now this features a sturdy steel construction with a rust resistant black powder coat finish and I thought it would be easier and probably more beneficial for you to actually show you a diagram of the measurements rather than trying to line these up with a ruler. So on your screen, I am including a diagram of all of the important measurements that I believe you will find helpful, making sure that this is going to work for you. You can also find this diagram listed on this product page if you need to refer to it later.

Now this is going to be a simple bolt-on installation. Hardware is not included with this. You're just going to simply get these outriggers. But the hardware that you are going to need to install these, you're gonna need four 3/8 of an inch in diameter by 3/4 of an inch long carriage bolts and four lock nuts. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today.

I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Attached to my Lippert steps and installed without any problems

by:

The pictures of the various steps did not show the correct rear mounting brackets. I call about using the optional brackets and how they were installed. Service person indicate they would fit. Ordered the unit and brackets, but they were back ordered for 2 weeks. Arrived as scheduled. unit measured up fine to old unit, but the rear mounting brackets would not work. After looking at the old unit, I drilled off the old bracket and fitted them to the rv and the new fit in fine, but i needed several new mounting holes to attach them to the new steps. i will attach picture of the old bracket installed. FWhen the installation was complete the new steps meet with t he wife's approval.

by:

Well made, simple install, although a floor jack is recommended to install.

by:

Fast shipping and great price!

by:

I cant really answer if I like them or not. They never got installed on my trailer and I have been trying to sell them in FB Marketplace with no luck.

by:

I am missing 1/2 of the package. I only received 1 outrigger instead of the set. However, Teresa, a customer service representative, has placed a reship order for the other outrigger. I appreciate the willingness and ease of correcting this issue.

by:

No instructions on how these outriggers are installed. Not even close to what I needed. If I would have recived what I needed I wouldnt,d be going throgh this

We always go to etrailer when we need parts. My wife needed steps with a 7" rise because of her knees. We neede these brackets to install the new steps. Worked great and got here very fast!! Thanks again to etrailer!!

by:

This is my second set of outriggers, they were good replacements but my first set both broke apart. Maybe bad batch of metal. No external damage to the steps or what they were mounted to.

by:

1st thing why was one longer than the other.
Nothing
was ever said in description about that.
None of the holes matched up to my lipped 3 step steps.
Good thing I'm mechanicly inclined so had to drill separate holes for it to bolt together.
But I made it so it would work..
Steps installed...

by:

These outriggers were easy to install and after a year of use have held up just fine. Very satisfied.

by:

Brackets worked good, the angle iron part could have been longer for stronger support, otherwise it welded up fine.

by:

Did not need outriggers but the return process was very easy. Customer service rep was excellent

by:

Very satisfied with product received. Installation went well.

by:

They were too long for my trailer

by:

Very satisfied with these steps and outfitters. Made it easy to install and the steps are well made and holding very well. Gre at product!

by:

Nice product - shipped quickly! I wish it would have fit our camper as indicated by the web - they weren't deep enough. I returned the order and my husband created his own out of scraps he had in the shop.

  • Will Flexco Manual Pull-Out Steps for RVs # SMFP-4400 Fit 2005 2005 Crossroads Cruiser
The Flexco Manual Pull-Out Steps for RVs # SMFP-4400 that you referenced will fit your 2005 Crossroads Cruiser but at worst might require moving the current brackets, or going a different route all together. You could weld these directly to your trailer frame, or use outriggers # LC301704 to act as new brackets. The mounting bracket dimensions of this are 28-1/8" wide x 18-1/2" tall x 12" deep.

  • Triple Step Recommendation for a 2010 Springdale SRT
The Triple Step part # LC432687 would work for you and could potentially install pretty easily depending on where you measured the distance between the mounting brackets. I attached a picture and a set of installation instructions that have the dimensions of this step listed for you to check out. You may already have outriggers installed on your 2010 Springdale SRT, but if not you would want the part # LC301704. I also attached a couple helpful videos for you to check out as well.

  • Can 28 inch Wide 4-Step RV Steps Replace 27-1/2 inch Steps on RV
The RV steps do get a bit wider as you add more steps to them. The closest option we have is the Alumi Tread part # LC432698 that you referenced which would be 28 inches wide. For basically all RV applications you can still install the steps but you'd have to move the brackets out or remove and install new ones. For new brackets we have the outriggers part # LC301704 which would work well.

In order to determine if the Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly - Double # LC372261 will work with your 2018 Keystone Passport Ultra Lite Express TT or not, you will need to locate the space available underneath your trailer that lines up with the doorframe, and measure the width and depth. You're going to need a mounting space that is at least 25-1/2" wide and 11-3/8" deep. If you have less or more space available beneath your doorway, then check out the list attached that shows...

  • Is There a 3 Step RV Pull Out Step that Can Replace LC432682
There are 3 step pull out kits similar to the # LC432682 that you referenced but they are wider across the board so the exact mounting hardware you are using now won't work. The part # LC432690 would be a great solution for what you have but it's 27-1/2 inches wide and what you have now is 2 inches narrower. For new brackets you'd also want the part # LC301704.

  • Can Lippert Manual Pull-Out RV Steps Be Added To A 2022 Coachmen Apex Nano Off-Grid 194BHS
Since the Coachmen Apex Nano Off-Grid 194BHS is designed with fold-down steps instead of the traditional pull-out steps like you're looking at you would have build a mounting bracket for the steps to mount onto. Outriggers # LC301704 could be used but you need to make a solid connection to the frame otherwise there's a good chance the steps could fall off as you using them. You'll most likely want to contact a local fabricator and have them weld the mounting brackets on to ensure your...

The Manual Pull-Out Step for RVs - Double # LC432682 has mounting holes that are about 24" x 7" and although there are not any with a 14" x 7" pattern, you can still use this step. In order to do so you have a couple of choices. The first would be to weld the steps onto your RV while the other option would be to use Lippert Outriggers for Manual RV Steps # LC301704. You would need Mounting Hardware # LC118155-72 to attach the steps to the Outriggers.

  • Can Electric Motorhome Step Be Replaced By 3-Step Manual Step
You absolutely can replace powered RV steps with manual steps to save yourself the headaches of wiring issues, bad motors and also to reduce the number of devices that put demands on your motorhome's power system. Our range of 3-step manual pull-out steps is shown on the linked page. Motorhomes typically use a 24-inch size step but we do also have a 25-inch model # LC432690. If it does not match you could make them compatible with new brackets, the Lippert Outriggers for Manual RV Steps part # LC301704 or you could go with another option that better closely matches what you have on the trailer now. The mounting base is the part that needs to fit in your access space and is 28-1/8" wide x 9-3/4" deep. When changing the amount of steps you have on an RV like with the # SMFP-3100 it's pretty common that the widths of the brackets don't match up perfectly, but the good news is you can still install a different set as long as you are willing to make some modifications.
