Had to watch the youtube video a couple of time to make sure I installed correctly. Everything went together well and our awning works like new. It was so easy, I didn't even need the wife to supervise.

by:

This was for a power awning. It is still working a year later. Very easy replacement. Even though your up a ladder the replacement went very smooth. Helpful hint: spread a tarp under the ladder. You have to remove about 6 to 8 screws in the housing and motor mount. I dropped one in the grass. Took me forever to find it. They are black and pretty much disappear

Actually about two years now and awning still working like new.

by:

We received our shipment as expected! I installed the the new motor in our awning. It was simple to install and the awning is running perfectly and is so quiet!

The customer rep, Stacy A., assisted us with our purchase. There was some confusion on my part about exactly what I needed and what I was ordering but Stacy was so knowledgeable she set me straight. I am so thankful that she did because the part we received was the part we needed! We will definitely be using etrailer.com for any other needs that might come up!

Our awning motor is still working great! It was easy to install and we were excited about getting the awning fixed. Like new again.

by:

product only lasted a couple of months. Your motor still worked but didn't have enough power to roll the awning in. I had to manually assist to get the awning back in. So I had to buy another one. since yours didn't last, i purchased the replacement from another vendor. unless there's something else wrong that caused your product to fail, i'm disappointed in your product. I guess i'll find out if the replacement also fails in a couple of months. Since I only camp for 6 months out of the year, it will probably be next year before I know whether the replacement is still working or not as I just replaced this motor and there is only a couple of months left in the camping season this year.

by:

This is exactly the replacement part that I busted on my camper awning. Dealing with etrailer was an easy and non-frustrating experience. The price was reasonable and the service is exceptional. I like calling and talking with people instead of just ordering from the website. Their website is well organized but actually talking to someone made the order a breeze. I highly recommend them for camper parts and other devices.

by:

This motor was a direct fit and easy to install. I read the question about installing, on his website, and it was extremely easy. Unroll 12 inches, support the arms, take the motor off. Reverse order to install new one.

The delivery was quick and delivered on the date specified in the email. They sent me a tracking number, so I was able to track it from shipping to delivery!

Best price from what I found looking, great follow-up, and great product. I will definitely order from etrailer.com again!

Shawn

Still working, no issues

by:

F Y I ,,, This has nothing to do with Etrailer !!

crappy motor, lci has issues! New motor unwinds the awning fine but rewinds very slow than stops. someone has to come up with a good after market motor to fix there issues. this is not the first go around with lci awnings ( 2 campers ) a 13 & a 17 ------- 5 motors all together. My new trailer, i demanded i would not take the unit with a lci awning on it.
the only good thing with this motor is you can put a drill on it to roll the awning in and out.
good luck folks,,,, read the reviews on this motor its not only me.
happy camping

by:

As usual, mailed in a timely manner, correct product sent, and works perfectly! Great company to buy from!

by:

Install of motor and tools used.

by:

It was so easy to install. I could’ve done it myself, but I hired someone to do it for me. The part was perfect and I now have a new perfectly running awning. Thank you.!

by:

I was so happy when I found the etrailer web site ! I had been trying to find the awning motor we needed for over a week, luckily I found etrailer.com. The ease of finding the part we needed was excellent and the awning motor was an exact fit. My husband put the motor on and now the awning works great. Thank you etrailer

by:

Replacement awning motor Installation was straightforward. It works but the awning retract is very slow. Seems like the motor should have a little more power.

by:

Parts work well. Fifth wheel is easy to remove & replace as needed. It did take some work to install but overall I'm happy with the kit.

by:

Need a motor for an awning repair and Etrailer came through for us in flying colors.
Did a nice job in making sure we received the product and even provided instructions for the installation. The price was right and the shipping was speedy. We will use this company again.

by:

The product was easily identifiable on the website because of the pictures. I was able to locate an exact replacement quickly and easily. The part is exactly as advertised and for a good value compared to other sites. The priority shipping was reasonably priced too. I will be shopping from etrailer.com again!

by:

I ordered a replacement motor for the awning on my travel trailer. Exactly what I ordered and very quick delivery. Works perfectly. Took 30 minutes to install. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

by:

This motor worked great. It fit just like the original part. Etrailer is the best and they ship fast. They also have great technical support.

by:

I ordered electric awning motor for my motor home, it was easy to install and works fine. I was very pleased with the product and will use this company for future needs.

by:

The replacement awning motor fit perfectly. Easy to install. The awning works just like new.

by:

Easy replacement, thank you for your help since the place I purchased the camper wouldn't return my call for part assistance. I needed the motor for my awning. Their loss ! Thank you again Ashley.

by:

This is one of the best sites for trailer parts that I have ever used it is easy and they seem to have everything at a good price

by:

Exact fit. It took longer to take the covers off then to install the motor. Hopefully the motor will last the life of the rv.

by:

This awning motor was very easy to install, and is the exact replacement. I hope it will last longer than the original.

  • How To Replace the Motor On a Lippert Power Awning
According to Lippert, the awning will need to be extended 8-12" in order to gain access to the assembly head cover which can then me removed in order to give access to the motor. In order to extend the awning while the motor is bad you can use the manual override procedure which I have attached for you below. Please note you will need to support the arm while removing the motor in order to prevent them from falling. The correct replacement motor for you should be the Solera Power Awning...

  • Troubleshooting Powered Awning That Trips Circuit Breaker When Retracting
If your powered awning trips the breaker on its motor circuit you might have a mechanical issue that is stopping the awning arms from retracting or the breaker on that circuit may not be the correct value. The motors in items like jacks and awnings will draw more power when they see a heavier load or a mechanical obstruction. You'll want to check the operation of the awning manually using the crank; this may help you determine where the problem is. The awning motor should have some indication...

It sounds like your Solera awning may have bent arms or a faulty motor. It does sound as if your motor like Solera Power Awning Replacement Motor part # LC266149 is drawing too much power during operation causing the fuse to blow when using it. The motor itself offers a very easy installation process done with simple hand tools and already has the Solera plugs installed so you simply plug it right in. This can save you some of the expense at the dealer by doing it yourself. One other cause could be a short in one of the wires running up the arm of you awning...

  • Solution for Needing Replacement Slide Out Arm Bracket
The bracket you have broken is part of the slide out awning roller and could only be replaced by going with an all new assembly like with the part # LCV000165062 which would be correct if you needed a roller that measures 7 foot 1 inch. There's a good chance you'd need a different size though so if you could measure the width of your slide out from flange to flange I can recommend the correct part.

  • Installing Lippert Components Solera Power Awning Replacement Motor
The Solera awnings do not use a spring that applies tension on it so that won't be a concern. What you will want to do when installing the Solera Power Awning Replacement Motor # LC266149 is to bring the awning out about 12 inches or so and then secure the arms. Lippert suggests using zip ties on the arms to keep them in place. Once you have the arms secured it's just plug and play to install the new motor.

I checked with the manufacturer for you, and they say that the Solera Awnings are slower when they retract. After that, they said to take a look at the ground wire before the switch, and make sure that has a good connection. • LCI Solera Power Awning Blows Fuses When Powered 1/2 Way Out Troubleshooting
Normally this happens when the awning is binding up as it's powering out. Check to make sure that it's powering out level from left to right as it's very possible that one side is higher than the other which is causing the awning to not roll up squarely and eventually bind up. This is almost always the issue when an awning motor wants to blow fuses when before it fully powers out.
