Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this replacement five-foot-long, plug-in power cord for the Kat's heater's cartridge-style engine block heater on GM engines. Now this part here will replace the five-foot-long, removable cord, has the internal thermostat and the retaining clip on Kat's heaters, cartridge-style engine block heater. The block heater we do sell separately on our website. It's part number KH11811.
This is just for the cord. This will clip onto your engine block with this included clip to keep the heater in place. Now it does not include the heater cartridge that plugs into this female end right here. That is sold separately. This is just the replacement cord.
Now this is designed to fit the GM 2.8 liter, 3 liter and 3.6 liter V6 engines, and the 5.3 liter and 6 liter V8 engines. It is designed to route through your grill. And you can see here, this will plug into a standard, 120 volt AC outlet for power. The cord length again is five feet. This is CSA approved and it is made in the USA.
Now this engine block heater does have this internal thermostat right here, and this will operate the heater based on the manufacturer spec for the vehicle it is designed to fit. But that should do it for the review on this replacement, five-foot-long, plug-in power cord for the Kat's heaters, cartridge-style block heater on the GM engines..
