Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a look at the replacement connecting arm shaft for your Demco Commander tow bar. This is an important piece for your tow bar because it's that extension arm that comes out of each side to actually attach to your base plate on your vehicle. If something happened to that original arm of your tow bar, it got bent somewhere along the way, maybe some kind of maneuver just didn't go right or it's maybe rusted out over time, this is going to be that direct replacement from Demco to get you back out and rolling.This is going to be a good option if everything else on your tow bar is in working order and you don't need any other replacement parts. After a while, replacing each thing piecemeal could end up being a little bit more expensive than getting a whole new tow bar. But if everything is working just fine, this is an easy way to replace that without having to invest in a whole new tow bar because let's face it, they can be expensive.It's going to be a nice heavy machined piece.

We'll have our attachment point here to our arm, and then it's got a little raised edge at the back to help it stay in the housing. Can see that raised edge there, raised lip, hard to see that, and then our attachment to the ends that actually go to your base plate. This fits all of the Demco Commander tow bars. This is just one piece of your Commander tow bar obviously.

That's pretty much all there is to it for this. I'll give you one rough measurement. Looks like overall it's about 18 and a half inches long in total, so that should match up with your original, and the width or the diameter is about seven-eighth of an inch.
