Today we're reviewing part number CAM39463 from Camco. This is an RV sewer drain cap with a gray water hose connection, so it prevents leakage from your RV'swaste drain. You have four bayonets here that attach to the lug fitting on your RV's waste drain and just in caseyou don't know, this iswhat a lug fitting looks like. This is not the part you're going to use. This is just an example, but you can see the studs here. Those are the lugs. So on your RV's waste drain, you fit those into the bayonetfitting right there, and you do get a tight fitting when you do it right.Now I not strong, I can't get these studs all the way into the fitting at the bottom here, but that's where they go, so you really want to twistit hard. Take that away, you have a threaded outlet here, and you can attach a garden hose to that for your drain, and then the cap is threaded and it comes with the safety lanyard that keeps you from misplacing the cap, so when it's not in use, you can just screw this back on, likethat. These are the nicest folks to deal with and we got our product in the time they showed! The Camco RV Sewer Drain Cap w/Gray Water hose connection is just what we needed for camping! This will allow us to still use our sink/shower water while containing our sewage into another Camco product. Way to go etrailer!! They are as good if not better than Camping World!!
Just what I needed. I didn't like having to use a 3" sever line just for the galley gray water drain. And, this cap is much 'heavier' in design than the one that I had purchased last summer. Works just like a well designed item.
These caps used to come with a thick rubber gasket...which served 2 purposes: good leak seal, & its thickness helped the cap stay tightly fitted as the RV bounced down the road. The last few new ones I have bought, have a much thinner gasket, & tend to vibrate off, in travel.
Sturdy built with a good seal & includes the tethers to prevent losing the small cap. In some camping venues where there's no sewer hook-up, this enables emptying grey water into an appropriate container for disposal. A very well designed and useful "bayonet" cover that works well as a replacement for the original sewer/grey dump pipe end.
I got the sewer cap with hose attachment for my second grey water tank and it is great. Dry weather? You can water your plants. If you aren't settled in one spot, it's an easy reach to the sewer dump. Love it.
Large selection and easy to find the part you are looking for
I What I ordered, a few PVC pipes and a valve and cap, isn't that complicated, so I wold expect these things to work. Ashely, the lady who took the order, however, helped me track down what I wanted. She was excellent, which is more important than these simple parts. The trouble is my fault: I ordered the wrong item; not this cap but a straight extension with a bayonet ending, but what I should have ordered was a 45 degree angled PVC extension with a lug end.

Kinda hard not to like this item. Seems durable enough. I put it on once I got the to the site to replace the original cap that didn't have the grey water outlet. Turns out I had to use the grey water outlet instead of full sewer hook up..

I drain gray water (slowly and safely) as often as I can, at least daily. this adapter makes it so easy with a short piece of hose. Would not camp without it.

Replacement cap was better than original....Old cap was leaking. Has 4 locking tabs instead of 2. Seals better.
