Gate King Adjustable Tailgate Support Bars Installation - 2019 GMC Sierra 1500- Video

Hey everyone, Shane here with etrailor.com. Today I have a 2019 GMC Sierra, and we're going to be installing Gate king's tailgate adjuster. Maybe you're like me, you use your truck for a lot of different things., For instance, carrying loads, where it sticks out past the tailgate and you have to have your tailgate down all the time, I've actually lost some loose items when carrying something like this, I've lost some loose items from the back of my truck, going down the highway. Well, there's a solution and that is the tailgate adjuster, it's going to allow you to adjust your tailgate in different positions, to help keep those items in the bed of your truck, keep you from losing them.As you can see here, this is going to work great for our longer loads, we're able to raise our tailgate up, kind of get the ladder up in the air rather than being in flat, potentially, maybe losing our ladder or anything else. This is also going to work great for your ATVs and your dirt bikes, you can use your tailgate as a wheel jump, so a lot of times when you put your dirt bike inside, the tire is going to stick out past the end of your bed just a little bit, you take your tailgate with the adjustment on it, lock it up against your back tire and it's going to keep your dirt bike from or four wheeler for that matter, from moving forward and backward in the bed of your truck while you're traveling.Another nice thing that I really like about this, as you can see with our tailgate up or ladder in place, maybe you have surf boards, are going to work basically the same way as we have our ladder here, you raised your tailgate up. Another thing that I really like about this set up is we're still able to use our tonneau cover, this being able to use our tonneau cover like this is going to help secure or better secure items up there towards the cab of that truck even with our tailgate, partially open.As I mentioned, we're going to have eight different locking positions. more

Stromberg Carlson 5th Wheel Tailgate Installation - 2017 GMC Sierra 3500- Video

Today on our 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Stromberg Carlson 100 Series Fifth Wheel Tailgate with open design, part number VGM-14-100. The one thing that's going to set this tailgate apart from others that I really like is that it is a one piece design and there's no plastic trim pieces to install. Now not only is it going to give us a better field of view when we're backing up or just driving, but it has a nice cut out and allows us to hook up our gooseneck or fifth wheel trailer that much easier. The louvered design is going to help with visibility but it's also going to cut down on wind noise and drag, which could help improve our gas mileage. The tailgate is going to follow the lines of our truck nicely and it's got a nice black powder coat finish to resist rust. The prime finish is going to allow you to paint it to match your truck. It's going to feature a nice, easy to pull latch on each side, allowing us to pull our tailgate down and as you can see, it still has that lift assist on it. more

Today on our 2015 GMC Sierra 3500, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th Wheel Tailgate with open design. Part number is VGM-14-100. Here's what the gate's going to look like when we get it installed. As you can see, it gives it a really nice custom rear appearance to the vehicle. It's going to offer the cut out so we won't have to worry about getting out of the vehicle, opening and closing our tailgate every time we want to hook up to our 5th wheel or to our gooseneck. Today on our 2015 GMC Sierra 3500, we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Husky Liners premium aluminum fifth wheel louvered tailgate with locking handle. Part number is HL15260. This Husky Liners tailgate is designed for use with Chevrolet and GMC trucks not equipped with tailgate assist. The fifth wheel gate is going to give us exactly what we want here in the middle. We've got that drop, so either our gooseneck or our fifth wheel can go in there without having to raise and lower the tailgate each time. We've got a nice heavy-duty finish on the aluminum. Today on our 2015 GMC Sierra 3500HD, we're going to be doing an install on the Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series 5th wheel louvered tailgate with lock for GM trucks, part number VGM-14-4000. Now you can see the finished product. You have a nice curve for your fifth wheel, some goose necks. This is sturdy plastic and steel construction with your glass blown plastic, glass blown on the inside. You got your locking feature here and your nice louvers for ventilation. I'll go ahead and show you how the lock works and the unlock feature. This comes with two keys. Simply just turn that and your tailgate is locked. more

Stromberg Carlson 5th Wheel Tailgate Installation - 2005 GMC Sierra- Video

Today on our 2005 GMC Sierra, we will be installing the Stromberg Carlson 100 Series 5th wheel tailgate with open design, and that's part number VGM-99-100. We will begin our installation with the tailgate down, and then raise it up slightly so we can use a flathead screwdriver to pry the tab for the side cable away, and detach the cable from the truck. We will do this on both sides. On the passenger side, we can then lift the tailgate out of it's hinge, and with an extra set of hands completely remove our tailgate. Next, we'll set the new tailgate into place. Our Stromberg Carlson tailgate comes with latches that will need to be installed on both passenger and driver side. more

Husky Tailgate Installation - 2010 GMC Sierra- Video

Today, on this 2010 GMC Sierra, were going to do a test fit of part number HL15240 from Husky Liners. This is their Fifth Wheel tailgate. Now, well start off our test fit with our tailgate already removed and our cables transferred from the tailgate to our new Husky Liner tailgate. Now, there are a couple of bushings you have to test fit on the Husky Liner to make sure it works with your truck. When the right bushings are selected, we can go ahead and install the tailgate. We will just install it the same way as original tailgate did. more
