Today we're gonna take a look at this Deka 22 gauge and 18 gauge ring terminal with the number eight to number 10 ring size has the red vinyl insulation and it is for a quantity of one terminal. Now this red ring terminal is designed to fit on the end of a 22 to 18 gauge size wire, and fits on the stud or tab size of number eight or number 10. The red color on this final installation indicates that it'll fit a 22 to 18 gauge wire, and these terminals are also available in other sizes that'll fit larger gauge wires, like 16 to 14 gauge and 12 to 10 gauge wire, and also other stud or screw sizes. This one, the diameter of the hole in the ring here is designed to fit the number eight to number 10 stud size. Now in wires, if you're familiar, the larger the gauge number means the smaller the wire size. more

Now the ring on this is 1/4 inch diameter, which means the terminal's designed to fit onto a 1/4 inch stud or screw. And just to give you an idea, we're gonna go ahead and show you on the ruler. And now this 14 gauge standard copper primary wire is going to be great for trailer and automotive use and the general purpose thermal plastic or GPT insulation is highly resistant to acids, gasoline, oil, grease, and most industrial solvents. This standard copper wire is going to maintain flexibility and it has a maximum power rating of 60 volts and an operating temperature from 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 176 degrees Fahrenheit. This is going to meet SAE J1128 specifications and again, the insulation is red in color and you're going to get just about a one foot long section of this wire. more

Spectro Open Snap Bushing Review- Video

Hi there do it yourselfers, today we're gonna be taking a look at Spectro's line of open snap bushings. We used it today on our electric over hydraulic conversion to ensure that where our hoses pass through any holes that we had to drill in the metal that there's no sharp edges that could puncture our hose. These open snap bushings are available in three different mounting hole sizes. I'm holding the seven eighths inch mounting hole size here today but we also have a half inch mounting hole size as well as a five eighths inch mounting hole size. And that's gonna be the size of the hole that you'll need to drill in order to insert the bushing, to give you the protection that you need from those sharp edges. With it being an open snap end like this it's a little bit easier to work with. more

Review of Deka Wiring - 12-10 Gauge Butt Connectors - DW05745-5- Video

Hello everybody, this is Jeff with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Deka yellow butt connectors for 12-10 gauge size wire. This is for a quantity of five connectors. Now, these yellow butt connectors will join two lengths of 12-gauge or 10-gauge size wire. It will insulate the connection with the heat shrinkable nylon for adjustability and durability and the yellow color of this connector indicates the size wire the connector will fit which is 12 to 10 gauge size, and also if you don't remember the color, what size it fits, it is stamped on the connector, 12-10 AWG, which it's telling you. But basically when you install this, what you'll do is get your two wires and enough you'll strip about a quarter of an inch of insulation off the end of each wire that you're wanting to connect, and then what you'll do is insert the end of the one wire all the way in into the metal casing until it stops right in the very center, they do have a stopper, so you push the wire in there, once it stops you make sure it's in the metal casing there and then what you'll do is take your crimper and you'll just crimp down on that metal casing until it holds the wire in place, and then you'll take your second wire and do the same on the other side, slide it all the way in, the part that you've stripped off, slide that all the way in 'til it stops, make sure it's in the metal casing, take your crimper, crimp it all the way down. more

Review of Deka Wiring - Tools for Wiring - DW05410- Video

Today we're going to take a look at the Deka hammer crimp tool. Now this tool allows you to crimp connectors by using a hammer or a vice as force. Basically what you'll do is just open this crimper, put your terminal or splice into the base area, release the crimper, and then actually strike this ram with a hammer until the cable is secure. If you notice it does have this locking lever right here on the back that makes it for easy loading. You can just pull up on it and swing it to the right or the left, and it'll hold that ram in the up position while you put your terminal or splice into the base. Once you get it in there, just release it and then hit that with the hammer. more

Spectro Ring Terminal Review- Video

Today we're going to be taking a look at Spectro Ring Terminals. These are available in either bare copper or zinc plated copper with sizes from 2/0 gauge, four gauge, six gauge, or eight gauge. These ring terminals are particularly useful when you're working with very heavy gauge wiring, especially when you're going to make battery connections like we have here. We've got a few different sizes that we've used, depending on the gauge wire.For our thicker wires here, we're using 2/0 gauge and for our smaller ones here, we're using the six gauge so the larger the number, the smaller the wire. All of the ring terminals are going to be made of a high grade copper to ensure optimal conductivity. If you opt for the zinc plating, that's going to also be resistant against corrosion. more

Review of Bulldog Winch - Electric Winch - BDW25056- Video

Today we're going to take a look at the Bulldog Winch Terminal Loop End for one odd gauge wire for a quantity of one. Now this is a terminal loop end for one odd gauge wire.A few measurements on this, the overall length we'll measure from this end to this end. It's going to be right at 54 mm or 2 1/8 inches. The width on the flat end is going to be right at 19 mm or 3/4 of an inch, and the width on the round end is right at 13 mm or half an inch. The whole diameter on this end is going to be right at 3/8 of an inch.Now this is a copper construction with a zinc plating, and it is for a quantity of one. But that should do it for the review on the Bulldog Winch Terminal Loop End for one odd gauge wire. more

Today we're taking a look at an open snap bushing. Now, this open snap bushing converts raw edge metal holes to smooth, insulated holes. It does have the split design located right here, so that provides side entry for segments larger than the bushing inner diameter, and it easily installs in holes with existing cable runs or tubing, or you can make your own hole. You just need to make sure that your mount hole measures 5/8" in diameter.Pushback force of 35 pounds and it's made from a durable plastic construction. It's a really nice design. Today we're taking a look at an open snap bushing. This open snap bushing converts raw edge metal holes to smooth and slated holes. It features this split design which provides side entry for segments larger than the bushing inner diameter and it easily installs and holds with existing cable runs or tubing. If you're drilling your own hole, you wanna makes sure that the hole diameter is seven eighths of an inch.It has a push back force of 35 pounds, it's made from a durable plastic construction. With this part number, you get one bushing, again it fits into a seven eighth inch diameter mount hole, and when it comes to the dimensions of the unit, the end side diameter, our usable space is five eights of an inch. The head diameter which is this portion here that's visible, once installed is 59 64ths of an inch which is pretty close to 15 16ths of an inch. more

Today we're taking a look at a nylon cable clamp. This clamp is made of type 6-6 white natural nylon, very strong and durable, and it's rust and corrosion resistant. Now this clamp does a great job at securing cables, wires, and small diameter tubing to ensure that they stay safe and protected. So it does a great job at keeping those items organized and up and out of the way from any type of damage or harm. With this part number you get one clamp, the closed inner diameter right here is a quarter inch, the mount hole diameter is right around three sixteenths of an inch, and then the strap width, that's the overall width measuring edge to edge right here gives a measurement of about three eights of an inch.
