Today we're gonna be taking a look at the best rear enhancement suspension options for your 2021 Ram 1500. To start off with, I want to talk about the issue before we talk about the solutions for the issue. The Ram 1500, ever since they switched over to the rear coil springs instead of leaf springs, have always inherently been really soft in the rear end, and that is extremely comfortable. It's what makes it one of the most comfortable trucks out on the market when you're not hauling a load. But I know personally from having driven one, having driven a lot of 'em here, that the rear ends of these are very soft because they have those coil springs when you're hauling a trailer or hauling a load in the bed of your truck, the back end likes to squat a lot, and I say a lot as in sometimes twice as much as a standard 1500 with leaf springs on it. So why airbags Well, today's trucks can handle a lot of weight. And you can do a lot with them even though this is a half ton pickup, they get the job done you usually have a lot of power and they're great for hauling boats, trailers, loads in the back, everything else, and they are coil spring in the back, which means they're gonna squat a little bit. If you do this often or if you have different items like a boat that weighs a certain amount or a camper that weighs a different amount these bags are adjustable and what they're gonna do is they're gonna bring your stock ride height back to level. more

Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2021 Ram 1500, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 air helper springs for the rear axle. But before we get into that, why don't we just take a minute, check these out, and make sure they're gonna work for you As you know, air bags are really gonna shine and help support the suspension whenever we're carrying heavy loads and things like that, pulling some big trailers around. But what a lot of people wonder is, you know, how are they gonna affect the ride when I'm not towing or not carrying stuff Because chances are pretty good you're gonna be doing more of that than you are gonna be pulling trailers around and whatnot. So just to kinda get a good comparison at least and see how it feels to me, I'm just gonna drive around, truck unloaded and everything, see how it feels, and then once we get the bags on, we can at least go for a spin again and see if it really makes a difference. more
