Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2012 Kia Sedona

Today on our 2012 KIA Sedona we're going to review and install the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs, part number F4138. Now with the manufacture installed springs and no weight in the vehicle we measure from top of the wheel well down to the ground, we have thirty and a half inches. Next we're going to go ahead and add some weight; now with approximately four hundred and fifty pounds of weight in the rear of the vehicle our ride height has gone down approximately an inch and a half. With that kind of weight and losing that much ride height is going to cause the rear of the vehicle to sag. Let's go ahead and go through our test course and see what it looks like. As we go through the slalom portion of our test course we can really feel the body roll and lose the steering feel, because the front end is pointed up with the backend sagging. Now if we go over the alternating bumps it's really got some up and down movement and sways side-to-side. Now we'll go over a single bump, simulating a speed bump or curb and as we go over the bump we really feel excessive jounce and rebound because of the weight. All right now with air in our Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs, we brought our vehicle back to its correct ride height. more
