Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2014 Ford F-150

Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Ford F150, we're going to taking a look at and showing you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs for the rear axle. Part number: F2525. I have my truck pulled up to my camper here. If you've ever hauled a heavy camper or towed a heavy load, a common problem is that the sag we get in the back of our truck. The back end will get pushed down, the front end will raise up, and you kind of get that floating feeling when you're driving down the road because the front tires aren't making that good of contact and we're putting a lot of stress on the rear suspension. Before I full hook up my camper, I'm going to take a few measurements. more

Best 2014 Ford F-150 Suspension Enhancement Options

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best suspension enhancements for the 2014 Ford F150, F250, and F350. Here we're going to have a leaf spring style helper spring, followed by our airbag helper springs, and then over here we're going to have a jounce style helper spring, and this is going to be our lower overload helper spring, and then finally on the end this is going to be our upper overload helper springs. Now each one of our types of suspension enhancements are going to do the same thing. When we're carrying a heavy load, or hauling a heavy trailer, they're going to prevent the backend of our truck from sagging, causing more strain on our suspension as well as lifting up the front end, creating less contact for our tires and not a safe driving condition. They're all going to help prevent all of those things from happening so let's take a closer look at some of the benefits from each one.Now our helper leaf springs here are not only going to give us that load leveling support, but they're also going to give us a little bit of anti-sway because the way they're going to mount. Our leaf spring style helper springs are going to mount to our factory leaf springs. They're going to activate our lower overload springs to help evenly distribute weight, ensuring the truck stays level for a better handling, and it's going to reduce side to side sway and body roll. more

Today on our 2014 Ford F-150 we'll be installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs, part number AL57200. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Springs will help you maintain the factory ride height when you have up to 5000 pounds of weight in the bed of your truck. You do not want to exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit on your vehicle. When you have the airbags installed, they will help reduce tire wear on your vehicle and help maintain braking ability. When your vehicle is sitting level, your brakes work properly. They will also help maintain stability of your truck while you're driving down the road and help maintain your headlight aiming so you don't blind the vehicles coming to you. They have adjustable air pressures that range from five to 100 psi. All right, so here's what our air bag kit looks like installed on one side of our vehicle.
