Hey everyone, Ryan here at Etrailer. Today on our 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500, we're gonna be showing you how to install the airlift Load lifter Air Helper Springs for the rear axle. Before we do that though, let's take a moment, check these out and see if they're gonna work for you. Underneath the truck this is what your air suspension can look like once it's installed. And essentially these are just going to replace your factory style jounce bumpers, which these jounce bumpers really don't do much for extra support. They're really just there to help prevent the suspension from bottoming out. more

Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Airlift LoadLifter 5000 air helper springs for the rear axle. That's going to be part number AL57204.Typically, the reason who you would want airbags is because you're carrying a heavy in your truck bed like this or if you have a heavy load on your trailer. It's going to cause a lot of strain on your suspension and it's going to cause that back end to sag down. Now not only that, but it's going to wear out your brakes faster and potentially, since the back end's dropping down, it's going to bring the front end up which could cause major tire wear or unsafe alignment of your headlights blinding people when you're going down the road. Now the load we have in the back of our bed actually dropped the back end two inches down and it actually raised the front end a half an inch up. Which I can tell you by driving around, I could definitely tell there is a major load in the back and it just didn't really feel as responsive driving around. And it just kind of felt like the front end was floating. more

Best 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Suspension Enhancement Options

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best suspension enhancement options for your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Our jounce-style springs are going to be great for somebody who carries the same load, or has the same camper or whatever it may be, all the time. Now the overload pad is going to be nice for somebody who carries a load every once in a while, but when they're not carrying a load they don't want to affect their ride quality, because we can go right back to factory ride by disengaging our overload springs. Now the air springs are going to be nice for somebody who carries a lot of different loads, maybe pulls a lot of different trailers, because we have full adjustability not only left and right but also the height and support that we get from our air springs. Finally, the lead spring helper springs are going to be nice for somebody who maybe tows a lot, and maybe they have an older vehicle that has a little bit of fatigue in the springs and the backend's just naturally sagging. These will lift them up and also give you the support as you need. Each one of our suspension upgrades is going to essentially do the same thing. It's just a matter of how they do it. more
