Yakima FullBack Trunk Mount 2 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Kia Seltos- Video

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline right here at etrailer, and today I have the Yakima FullBack two-bike trunk mounted bike rack. We'll take a look and focus on how it fits our 2023 Kia Seltos. So for the Kia Seltos, which is actually my vehicle, you have limited options when it comes to carrying around bikes because it doesn't already have a hitch installed and you'd have to get a roof rack installed separately if it didn't already come with one. So your next option there for a quick and easy solution is the Yakima FullBack. Now, ideally, if you can please get a hitch installed onto your car so you can get a hitch mounted bike rack because then you're gonna get access to your hatch where in this case you lose access to your hatch. But for some reason you can't find a hitch, don't have the availability for the hitch, and, or don't have the time or want to invest in one, let's take a look at how this is gonna be the more premium option for your vehicle. more

Yakima FullBack Trunk Mount 2 Bike Rack Review- Video

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have Yakima FullBack trunk mounted bike rack. So this is a rack that attaches to your hatch or to your trunk and allows you to carry two to three bikes and that way, you're ready to ride. Usually I don't go with trunk or hatch mounted bike racks because there's a lot more contact with the vehicle and it's a lot more of a hassle to get them mounted onto the vehicle compared to if you had a hitch mounted rack but sometimes you don't have those options. In this case, this is actually my car and I haven't had the time to get a hitch on there or a roof rack and I need to carry around two bikes. Of my limited options, the Yakima FullBack is probably gonna be the more premium and the safer trunk mounted rack. There are some features on it where it just limits the contact with the vehicle making for a more distributed way of carrying around your bikes. more

So the Thule OutWay is a really cool bike rack because let's say you don't have a hitch on your Civic or you're unable to get a hitch on your Civic, this gives you the option to carry around two bikes safely and easily with all of its different features. It has everything included like your straps or your different mounting feet just to get this into place. You have some straps that go through the top, and it's very easy to install. Today, we are going to be going over a solution if you do not have a hitch or a bike rack on your roof, to be able to get your bikes to and from the destination.Luckily, this one is extremely compact, fits in your trunk, so it's easy to store, and this is going to be the Thule Gateway 3.First thing we want to do to get it expanded, is we are going to hold these levers on each side, we are going to push those in, and it's going to make this arm come up like this. I found the right setting, and we want to put it on our trunk just like this, and if you look closely, you can see we do have some numbers here. I'm going to use the seven. I found that to be the best fit for our inaudible 00:00:49 here.Just a quick tip for you, if you fancy your paint job, I highly recommend just wiping it down just so a lot of that dirt and stuff isn't being pushed down onto your paint to make marks. So we did that, and another thing we need to do is, you notice this pad here, it's nice and wavy on the round end, we want that to be down. more

So this is a great option, especially if maybe you don't have a hitch on your Jetta and you still want to carry around bike racks. This is also very quick and easy to use. So the way our bike is mounted to this bike rack here are by these straps, so when you do have your bike up there, you want to strap them down to these rubber straps and you can see how they hold them in place just like that. And we have one, two straps at the top.
