Today on our 2013 Honda Civic, we're doing a test fit of the Yakima Halfback 2 Truck Mount Bike rack. That part number is Y02636. Now we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we do that. We've got 2 cradles in place with 3 straps, 2 on our frame and I as our anti-sway. These are also known as zip strips. more

Today, in this 2013 Honda Civic, we are going to be test-fitting the Thule Gateway XT 2-Bike Rack, part number TH9006XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The bike actually attaches to the rack. We are going to have 3 points of contact with the bike's frame. We are going to have 2 straps up at the top here and one off to the side and that is going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from going too far back and forth, possibly hitting either the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. We're going to take the bike off and set it aside. I'm going to go ahead and give you a quick measurement now. more

Today on this two thousand thirteen Honda Civic, we're going to be testing the Thule Archway XT two-bike rack, part number TH9009XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is actually going to attach to the rack, we're going to have three points of contact with the bike's frame. We're going to have two straps up at the top here and one off to the side. That's going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth possibly hitting the bike rack or the bikes in front of it. We also have an integrated cable lock here at the front where you would wrap it around the bike in the front and attach it to this point here for additional security. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. more

Thule Passage Trunk Bike Racks Review - 2013 Honda Civic

Today on this 2013 Honda Civic we're going to be test fitting the Thule Passage 2-Bike Rack, part number TH910XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is actually attached to the rack, we're going to have three points of contact with the bikes frame. We're going to have two rubber straps up at the top, and one off to the side here, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway strap to keep the bike from moving too far back and forth, possibly hitting the bike rack itself or the bikes in front of it. Let's go ahead and take that off and set it aside. With the bike rack in this position, I'm going to go ahead and give you a quick measurement. From the bumper to this outer edge we've added about twenty-two inches to the rear of the vehicle. Now in close quarters situations such as parking or when you're putting this in your garage, you can fold these arms down. If you look in here there is actually silver tabs, there's going to be one on each side. more
