Derale Transmission Cooler Installation - 2018 Honda Odyssey- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Derale Transmission Cooler on a 2018 Honda Odyssey. Now this is what your transmission cooler is gonna look like when it's installed. Now we have the fascia off still, but it's a pretty clean look. It mounts right here on our AC condenser, and once the fascia is on, you really can't see it. We do have our hoses running to the factory line, and really all this is gonna do is create another external spot for that transmission fluid to cool down. And it's on something like a van like this, they're gonna be towing a small Airstream with it, with a weight distribution hit. more

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Derale 10 row stacked plate cooler with the minus 10 ANO-ring female inlets. Now the stacked cooler will prolong the life of your engine or your transmission and the stacked plate coolers will typically manage to cool a greater volume of fluid faster than the tube and fin or even the plate and fin models. The stack plate cooler is designed with 10 rows of two inch deep turbulator plates for increased capacity and more efficient cooling. And what's nice is that turbulator technology is when the fluids are agitated continuously to not only facilitate heat transfer but also to prevent any undesirable drop in the pressure. I do wanna let you know that this transmission pan cooler is going to fit most 1982 to 1999 model 4L60Es, but some models may require a smaller transmission filter to get it to fit, this will not fit on all models, so I just wanted you to be aware of that. Now, these are commonly used on vintage hot rods and race cars, and Derale's pan coolers are designed to add a little extra cooling power to keep your vehicle's transmission operating at its best. The simple installation is going to involve replacing your existing oil pan with this new one, which in addition to providing the cooling power, this is also going to increase your fluid capacity by two quarts, four ounces. Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the Derale Dyno-Cool Class III transmission cooler on a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Now, our customer, John, has had this installed on his vehicle because he was able to check his transmission temperature via the cluster on the truck. And he saw that it was at about 190 degrees while towing instead of that normal operation temp of about 160 to 170, and he wanted to bring those temps down. And this is definitely the best way to do that because you have a whole new cooling element that's up front that ties into the existing cooling system, so it really just gives it a nice little buffer to kinda precool that down before going back, it's just gonna keep those temps running cool. And that's gonna give you a longer transmission life. more

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this to Derale 9000 Series Plate and Fin Transmission Cooler with the NPT inlets. Now, vast majority of automatic transmission failures are a direct result of overheating, and towing can place an extra strain on your transmission causing it to get hot, and an aftermarket transmission cooler can help prevent overheating, and extend the life of your vehicle's transmission, and even if you don't tow, keeping your transmission cooler can be beneficial. Even a relatively small drop in fluid temperature can almost double the transmission's life, and increased its performance. Now, most of the factory cooling systems are adequate at best, rarely maintaining your transmission's fluid within the ideal operating range of about 160 to 200 degrees. So adding a transmission cooler is not difficult, and it can even extend the life of your vehicle, and ensure that it functions at its best. more

No worries, that's just so we can actually see the transmission cooler, and how it works, because once the bumper is on, this has going to be completely hidden, for the most part.These Town and Countries are really versatile vans, and can do a little bit of everything, which does include some towing. A lot of our customers did some research to find out that their van is capable of that towing, but found out that the transmission tends to be the weak link, if you will. This helps your vehicle to work at optimum performance by keeping your engine or your transmission cool, even when you're towing a heavy load or encountering high temperatures while you're out on the road. We'll not only have our cooling system on the bottom here, this stacked plate design, but we'll also have our fans, so that's going to give us an optimized cooling system to make it super efficient in getting everything cooled down and working properly. Our surface here is a stacked plate design, so we'll have the plates that our fluid goes through, and then the little thins going in between so that it creates a large surface area for all that heat to dissipate out. And then with the fans, in addition to that, it's going to pull the air through and get everything cooled down really quickly. Today on 2011 Toyota Sienna, we're going to be installing Derale Series 8000 Plate and Transmission Cooler. This transmission cooler is going to help extend the life of your transmission. It's an auxiliary supplemental cooling system for your transmission to further cool the fluid.What this means for you is that if you use your vehicle for a lot of heavy towing, that puts a lot of extra stress on your transmission, which builds excessive heat. This cooler will help dissipate that heat and allow it to operate more under normal conditions, extending the life even when under those stressful towing conditions.We'll begin our installation at the front of the vehicle by removing our front grill. There are several pins across the front center, at the top, that we're going to remove using a flat-bladed screwdriver. Pop out the center first and then you can pull the pin out. more
