And it does work with axles that are 3,500 pounds in capacity, so if you have a worn out axle, or axle spindle, I should say, this is going to be a great way to replace that without having to remove the entire axle itself. You can just cut off the end for your spindle, weld this one on in place, and then you're ready to go. Also, if you want to create a fabricated or create a custom axle, this is a great way to do that as well because you can kind of make it how you want it. more

Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the number 84 E-Z Lube axle spindle. This is a great way to replace your damaged or worn out spindle on your trailer, or just get a new spindle to fabricate a custom axle for your trailer.It does have a four inch rise or drop, depending on which way you have it welded on there. It is a well-known design, so pretty simple to get that installed and a really easy way to replace that spindle, if it is damaged or worn out. You just cut off the old one and then weld this new one on in place rather than having to replace the whole axle itself, which can be pretty cumbersome.Let's take a closer look at this guy and make sure that this is the right fit for your particular application. This spindle can be used with 3000 or 3,500 pound trailer axles. The actual spindle capacity all on its own is 1,750 pounds, since that axle capacity will be for both axles or one for either side, so that's why this one on its own has half the capacity of the axle it can work with.Again, it does have that four inch drop going from the center of the spindle to the center of where it would attach, and then the overall length going from the end of the threads to where it would also be welded on in place, that is about eight inches.As you can see on the end, we'll have a grease zerk, so this is going to be an E-Z Lube spindle, so you can make sure that everything's nice and lubricated, push the grease on through there, and it's going to come out on the back behind the seal, so it's going to keep everything nice and lubricated or back around the seal to keep everything inside there.Helps to prevent any wear on the spindle itself and help to make that lasts a lot longer. more

So this is going to be a great way to replace a worn out or damaged spindle on your trailer axle rather than having to replace the entire thing. If that axle's fine, there's no real damage to that support underneath your trailer, why take it off when you can just cut off the spindle and replace that So that's what this is going to allow us do. Or you can also use this to create your own custom axle for your trailer as well. So either way, this is a weld-on application, does have that just plain flush cut at the back, so you can weld that in place. more

So you can cut off that offending spindle and weld this guy on in its place, and then you're ready to roll.It is also a good idea, however, whenever you're replacing that spindle to also get new bearings, seals and races, if not a whole new hub assembly for your axle, to make sure that you don't have those same issues. A lot of times when these get worn out or damaged, it's because there is starting to be some damage to those inner workings as well. Of course, it's not a bad idea to replace the hub bearings and seals and everything else inside that component, to make sure that you don't have any issues with it wearing out your new spindle. Redline Trailer Spindles - EZ Lube Spindle - R104BTREZ Review- Video
Today were going to review part number R104BTREZ. This is the Redline EZ Round Spindle. This spindle is an EZ design spindle and basically what that means is it will have a grease zerk fitting on the end of the axle and that will allow you to put a grease gun on there and pump grease in through the internal cavity of the spindle and it will come out this hole right here which is located on the inner bearing surface. Well actually grease your bearings just by pumping grease from the outside as compared to a normal traditional spindle which would not have the zerk fitting and you would have to remove the bearings and have to grease them manually and put them back on. This way you can just grease them while theyre on the trailer. Now this spindle does use a bearing kit which is part number BK1-150, which is sold separately. more

Today were going to review part number AS1500E. This is the Redline Agricultural trailer spindle. This is a round spindle. This spindle will come complete with the spindle washer, a castle nut and the cotter pin. This agricultural spindle will have a 1,500-pound weight capacity and there are a few dimensions that will need to be taken if youre going to replace the agricultural spindle on your trailer. You want those dimensions to match up to get you the correct part and most of these will be in 1/100s of an inch so I am going to use this digital caliper to record those measurements. more
