Now this left hand ramp spring is designed to be mounted on the left hand or driver's side of your trailer and it gives you a lift assist to help take the majority of the weight off of the ramp when you're raising it. Now these type of springs are normally used on trailers that carry heavy equipment. They are a high quality steel alloy and as we mentioned, it's designed to fit a one and a half inch diameter shaft. Now we said this is the left hand side and you wonder how you can tell that this is the left hand side spring And that's easy to tell because there'll be no paint color on either one of these legs. more

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install ramp springs for the 2000 pound torque rate for inch and a half shafts. The left hand side is part number RS16933LH, and for the right, you'll need part number RS16933RH.Now, these springs are designed to aid you in lowering and lifting these heavy ramps. If you don't have any springs installed, you know it can be quite a bit of a pain. As you're lowering your ramp down, you kind of have to be under it. You don't want to just let it drop .. Well, I guess you can, but you might cause damage to it, and vice versa.When you're trying to lift it up, you're going to lift up the entire weight. more
