Hey, everyone. Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2024 GMC Sierra 3500, we're gonna be checking out the Gen-Y Offset Goose Ball kit for trucks that have the OEM prep package. So it's pretty convenient nowadays. A lot of these late model trucks are coming right outta the factory with these prep packages and it makes using or towing a gooseneck trailer or even a 5th wheel trailer for that matter, extremely easy because more or less you just take your hitch, drop it in the bed of your truck, lock it down and you're good to go. This kit, what the difference is compared to some of the other ones is it's going to have an offset ball, meaning the ball is going to sit towards the back of the truck an additional 5 inches. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this Offset Ball for your B&W Turnover Ball Gooseneck Hitches, and we're gonna be seeing it and how it fits on our 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty. This does exactly what it says it's gonna do. It replaces the existing turnover ball that came with that gooseneck hitch and puts the new one in, drops in the same slot with the same square base, but just offsets the ball by four inches towards the rear. If you've got something in your truck bed like a toolbox that's maybe going to just limit your clearance and you need some extra, this is a good way to do it. more

Curt 1-7/8 inch Hitch Ball Review- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Curt 1-7/8" Trailer Ball. This is gonna be an extra long shank. So for something like bumper towing like we have here on our F-150, this is gonna be a great option. Now what separates this ball from a lot of other balls on the market, it's gonna be the extra long shank and this is gonna be a 3". So from the bottom of the ball platform to the bottom of the shank, this one is 3", which works out really well for mounting this up on our bumper. It's gonna work with ball mounts, so we're bumper platforms that are gonna be 1" to 2" thick and that's still gonna give us that nice secure mounting up, whereas another ball mount, the shank will be too short to be able to crank that down. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the CURT 1-7/8 Trailer Hitch Ball with an extra long shank on a 2023 Ford F-150. Now from the factory, not all F-150's come with a trailer hitch and if that's the case, you do have an option to mount up a ball on the bumper and be able to bumper tow, so that way you don't have to get a hitch or a ball mount. You can simply run it through the hole that's already there torque this down and then you'll have your ball ready to hook up to your trailer. Now what separates this ball from a lot of other balls on the market is gonna be the extra long shank and this is gonna be a 3 inch. So from the bottom of the ball platform to the bottom of the shank, this one is 3 inches, which works out really well for mounting this up on our bumper. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Curt inch and seven eighths trailer hitch ball. This one's rated at 3,500 pounds and has a built-in one inch rise. When hooking up your trailer, you try to get your coupler and trailer tongue to be exactly level with the towed vehicle. And sometimes you just need about an inch to get that perfectly set up. And instead of having to go out and buy a new ball mount, you can pick up a ball with that one inch rise already built in. So the ball mount we had had a two inch drop, but all we needed was a one inch drop. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Curt stainless steel inch and seven eighths ball mount. Now this is gonna be a great option if you have a smaller trailer with a coupler with an inch and seven eighths and you already have a ball mount because this just comes singular and this will bolt up to those ball mounts with a one inch diameter. Now this ball mount is gonna be rated at 3,500 pounds, which is gonna be great. So anytime when towing any trailer, you're gonna want to take a look at all of your components. So this one being rated at 3,500 pounds. We have this on a 7,500 pound rated ball mount, but we also need to check the hitch as well as the towed vehicle to make sure that they're all capable of towing that. more

B and W 2-5/16" Hitch Ball Review- Video
Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the B&W 2 5/16 trailer ball with a 1 inch diameter and a 12,000 pound weight capacity. Now we have this on our weight distribution hitch today because we swapped from a 2 inch ball to a 2 5/16 ball, and this is gonna be a great option for that, but also it's gonna work on your ball mount if you have that 1 inch diameter. And this is a pretty heavy-duty ball. So for something like our Duramax that we have here today, it's gonna be a great option. Now this ball is a heat-treated steel, and it's got a raw finish, meaning it's not chrome, it's not painted, and that means it's not really gonna scratch. more

And this is gonna be a great option for that Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch that you may be putting on your car. Now our neighbor picked up an Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch that they're gonna be towing their enclosed trailer with and included was a two inch ball, but the coupler on their trailer is a 2 5/16 so the ball doesn't ever come pre-installed on the weight distribution hitch. So now's a good time to make sure we have the right ball. This is gonna work out great. It's got the 1 1/4 diameter for the shank and this is designed for the weight distribution hitch. more

Now when choosing a ball to hook up to your trailer and tow, you obviously wanna make sure that you have the same diameter as your coupler and this one's gonna be a two inch ball so it matches up well with our trailer that we're gonna tow today. Let me give you some overall dimensions to give you the confidence that this is going to work for you. So looking at the diameter, as you can see, it is an inch and a quarter. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Draw-Tite hitch ball. This is gonna be an inch and 7/8 with a one-inch diameter shank. For something like our kayak trailer, or a small boat, or even a small utility trailer, this is gonna be a great option. Being a 1 7/8 inch ball is gonna mean that it's gonna be good for a smaller trailer. In fact, this one's rated at 2000 pounds, so you're gonna want it to adhere to that number. Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the pop-in, three-inch diameter ball for the Reese Elite Series and the Factory Ford and Factory Ram gooseneck hitches. Now this hitch ball is designed for use in the Reese Elite Series Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, and also fits the factory installed gooseneck hitches on a 2011 and newer Ford Super Duty trucks or the RAM trucks with the factory prep packages. This is a pop-in ball, which will fit securely in the hitch and it's very easy to insert and remove. Basically to insert it, you just pull up on this lever, this integrated lever, twist it 90 degrees like that and it releases these ball bearings down here and then you just drop it into there. And then when you rotate that lever, it'll lock it into place and keep it installed. more

Now, this hitch ball provides a connection point for your trailer's coupler. They do use the fine threads on this to provide an exceptionally tight, strong grip, and it is a durable steel construction. You can see it has a nice corrosion resistant chrome finish to it, and also, if you noticed, the flat sides here, these are built-in wrench flats that make it very easy to hold the ball in place while you're torquing the nut down. Hi there trailer owners. Today we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, Curt's two inch chrome ball with a one inch shank. And this ball from Curt is gonna be a chrome ball to protect it from corrosion. It's going to be a two inch diameter ball with a one inch diameter shank. Our shank will measure two and an eighth inch long and that is important for determining if it will fit in the draw bar that you're planning on installing it in. The draw bar we use today worked out great and has a seven eighths inch platform. more
