Best 2008 Audi Q7 Trailer Wiring Options

Hi there, Audi owners. Today we're going to be taking a look at the best vehicle wiring options for our 2008 Audi Q7. Here we have our two best wiring options. The option on the left is the one from Curt and the option on the right is from Tekonsha and in most aspects, these wiring harnesses are going to be basically identical but there are a few minor differences between them and we'll cover those now. This is is our Tekonsha harness and as you can see, the module is relatively small which is nice to be able to fit it into smaller areas, versus our Curt here, which is quite a bit larger. As you can see here on our 2014 Audi Q7, we've got the smaller Tekonsha module installed and we're able to take our wiring and tuck it all up into the little compartment behind our taillight.Whereas, if we we're using our Curt, the Curt itself would take up just about all the space inside of our compartment here, leaving no place for our wiring, which would require us to have to route it to another location and store it somewhere else making it a lot more work for us.I will say, however, the Curt does have a higher output at five amps on these stop turn circuit, while our Tekonsha only has 4.2 amps on the stop turn. They both offer 7.5 amps on the taillights, so if you need that higher output for your stop and turn circuits on your trailer, if you've got a lot of lights, big light parts for your taillight assemblies, then the Curt may be the better option for you.Other than that, our harnesses are basically identically. They're gonna have the same outputs to make the connections to your vehicle. more
