Today on our 2012 Toyota Rav4 well be test fitting the Draw Tite ball mount, part number 2923. The first thing we want to do is measure our hitch height and that measurement goes from the ground to the inside top edge of our receiver tube. Our hitch height measures about 13 inches. Keep in mind that this measurement will vary depending on the model of hitch installed, the tire size, or variances in the vehicle themselves. Next well fit the ball mount into the drop position. This ball mount provides a two inch drop so when we measure the height of our ball platform it should be two inches than our hitch height. more

Thats the measurement from the ground to the inside top edge of the receiver tube. Our hitch height measures about 13 inches. Keep in mind that this measurement will vary depending on the model of hitch installed, the tire size, or variances in the vehicle themselves. Now this ball mount offers a four inch drop or a two and three-quarter inch rise. more
