Today on our 2013 Ford Explorer well be test fitting the Convert-A-Ball cushion ball mount for two inch hitches with a three-quarter inch rise or two inch drop, rated at 10,000 pounds, part number AMSC2. Before we begin our test fit well first need to obtain the hitch height of our vehicle. The hitch height is the measurement from the ground to the inside top of the receiver tube. The hitch height for our vehicle is about 16 inches. Keep in mind this measurement may vary due to tire size, hitch style or other aftermarket accessories.Well begin our test fit in the drop position by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch. Well then secure it with the pin and clip. more

The hitch height for our vehicle is about 16 1/4 inches; keep in mind that this measurement may vary due to tire size, hitch style, or other aftermarket accessories. We'll begin our test fit in the drop position by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch. We'll then secure it with the pin and clip. With the ball mount secured well measure from the ground to the top of the ball platform getting a measurement of about 8 inches. more

Curt Tri-Ball Mount Review - 2013 Ford Explorer- Video

Speaker: Today on our 2013 Ford Explorer we'll be test fitting the curt tri-ball mount for 2 inch hitches in black part no. C45001. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the ball mount into the opening of the hitch. We'll then secure it with a pin and clip. Now, since this ball mount has no drop or rise if your vehicle is hitch height matches your trailer ride height this ball mount would be appropriate for you. In this position we have the 2 and 5 16 inch ball on the top. We can pull the pin and rotate it to the right to access the 2 inch ball or to the left to access the 1 and 7, 8 inch ball.
