Today on our 2006 Chevrolet Silverado well be test fitting the Convert-A-Ball cushioned six way multi-hitch ball, part number CAB-6W for two inch hitches, rated at 10,000 pounds. To begin our test fit, well need to get our hitch height measurement. To do this well measure from the top of the receiver tube to the ground, which in this case measures 19 inches. Keep in mind that measurement can vary due to hitch style, tire size, or any other accessory that may affect your vehicles ride height, so its a good idea to measure yours. Were now ready to fit the ball mount to the vehicle. Well now slide the ball mount into the hitch, first using the two and five-sixteenths inch ball. more

Today on our 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 we'll be test fitting the Draw-Tite ball mount with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop rated at 6000 lbs, part number 2923. A tried and true design makes this makes this ball mount one of our most popular sellers. You'll notice the ball mount has an angle cut which will allow for the ball mount to slide into your hitch with ease. Now, the ball mount provides 8-1/2 inches of clearance from the center of the hitch pinhole to the center of the 1 inch shank. This will fit a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver and uses a ball with a 1 inch shank. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground on this truck is 17-3/4 inches. more
