Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for the 2009 Volkswagen Routan. This is going to be our Class II, and these two are going to be our Class III hitches. Your Curt and your Draw-Tite are going to mount the exact same way. You're going to have three mounting points on our driver's side, two of them on your passenger's side. Now, on your Class II Draw-Tite, you're only going to have two mounting points on the driver's side, and two mounting points on the passenger's side.All three hitches use existing hardware that's already on the vehicle. Now, your Curt hitches are going to require a stabilization strap. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2009 Volkswagen Routan, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you to install the CURT Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C12264.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. As you can see, the cross-tube is hidden behind the bumper. The only thing you can see is a receiver tube. It's going to be one and a quarter inch by one and a quarter inch. It's going to have a half inch hitch pin hole.It's going to have ring style safety chain loops to give you good access on front and back for your safety chains. It's going to be tucked up underneath the bumper, gives it a nice clean look. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2009 Volkswagen Routan we're going to be taking a look at and showing how to install the Draw-Tite Class 2 trailer hitch receiver, part number 36455.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. As you can see, the crosstube is hidden up behind the bumper. The only thing you can see is the receiver tube. It's going to provide an 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube. It's going to have a 1/2" hitch pin hole. You're going to have more than enough room with this hoop-style safety chain loop. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2009 Volkswagen Rutan, we're gonna be taking a look at showing you how to install the Curt class three trailer hitch receiver, part number 13364. This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. As you can see, the cross tube is hidden behind the bumper, and all you can see is the receiver tube. It's gonna be a class three. It's gonna be two inch by two inch with a 5/8 inch hitch pin hole. It's gonna have ring style safety pin loops, gives you good access on both sides with plenty of space for your safety chains. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2009 Volkswagen Routan we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Draw-Tite Class III Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75579. This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed.The cross tube hides behind the bumper, the only thing you can see is the receiver tube; it's gonna be a class III, 2" by 2". This hole is gonna be 5/8" hitch pin hole. This back hole here, it's gonna be for a J-pin stabilization device only. The J-pin stabilization device is gonna take some of the shake and rattle out of your hitch mount accessories, if they don't have an anti-rattle bolt. It's gonna have loop-style safety chain rings, giving you good access, front and back, for your safety chains. more
