Ryan: Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at some of our best trailer hitch options for our 2012 to 2019 Volkswagen Passat. Up top we have the EcoHitch. Here in the center we have the CURT. Down at the bottom we have the Draw-Tite.Now if I had to personally choose one of these hitches for my own Passat, I think I would choose the EcoHitch because it's going to be more versatile because of that 2" by 2" opening. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Volkswagen Passat, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class One Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C11234. This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. As you can see, the cross tube is completely hidden behind the bumper. It's nice and tucked in. Back behind the edge of the bumper, you're not going to have to worry about hitting your legs on it.It's going to be a class one. It's going to be an inch and a quarter by an inch and a quarter. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Volkswagen Passat - Draw-Tite

Today in this 2015 Volkswagen Passat, we're going to install the Draw-Tite class 1 inch to quarter receiver hitch, part number 24880. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on our Passat. As you can tell, there's not much to really see. Here's our inch and a quarter receiver right here that's installed about an inch below the bottom of the bumper cover. It has some generous loops for your safety chains, it also uses a half-inch hitch pin or your favorite hitch pin lock. The receiver goes back in to here, and it has another attaching point at the trunk pan underneath, and it also goes up behind the bumper cover and clamps to the bumper structure underneath. more
