Ryan: Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at some of our best trailer hitch options for our 2012 to 2019 Volkswagen Passat. Up top we have the EcoHitch. Here in the center we have the CURT. Down at the bottom we have the Draw-Tite.Now if I had to personally choose one of these hitches for my own Passat, I think I would choose the EcoHitch because it's going to be more versatile because of that 2" by 2" opening. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Volkswagen Passat - Curt- Video
Alright, today on this 2013 Volkswagen Passat we're going to install part number C11234 from Curt. Alright, this is what the hitch looks like once installed on our Passat, next we'll go ahead and give you some measurements so it will help you out selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or cargo carrier. From top of receiver opening down to the ground will be about ten and a quarter inches, and from center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about three and three quarter inches. Now I'llgo ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing we need to do is go ahead and loosen up the fascia, they'll be three fascia screws we have to remove and they go into a plastic clip that goes into the bumper supports. We'll go ahead and remove these screws and then pop the clips away from the supports. Now after we're done we'll only reinstall two of them, the one in the middle and the area by the hitch. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Volkswagen Passat - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2013 Volkswagen Passat we will be installing the Draw-Tite Hitch, part number 24880. This is what our hitch will look like once it is installed. Next, we will go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 10 inches. This will assist you with selecting accessories such as a bike rack or cargo carrier. more
