Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Volkswagen Jetta- Video
Today on our 2017 Volkswagen Jetta, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the current Class 1 custom for Trailer Hitch receiver, part number C11474. So here's where our hitch is gonna look like, once we have it installed on our Jetta. It is gonna sit right below the bumper and that cross tube is gonna be visibile just right below. Now our hitch is a Class 1, which means it's gonna give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. And it's gonna be great for adding a bike rack or a cargo carrier onto the back of our Jetta. Now, the way we're gonna mount all of our accessories, is to the hitch pin hole here on the side and it gonna accept a standard half inch pining clip. more

Best 2017 Volkswagen Jetta Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today, we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. Up top here, we're going to have our CURT Class 1 hitch, and right below that, we're going to have our Draw-Tite Class 1 hitch. Both of our hitches are that Class 1, which means it's going to give us an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, and as you can see, there is going to be a cosmetic difference. But essentially, these are going to install the same and give us the same amount of ground clearance.Both of our hitches do feature a round tube design on the cross tube, and it is going to sit just right below the bumper, and it is going to be visible. The CURT does have a little bit more of a finished look to it, because it has that reinforced collar. Just a nice look, whereas the Draw-Tite is more of just a flush cut on the receiver tube, and doesn't have that collar.Now, another difference in our hitches is going to be the safety chain connection points. more
