Today on our 2010 Volkswagen Jetta we'll be looking at our best hitch options. On the top we have a CURT class one, part number C11072. On the bottom we have a Draw-Tite class one, part number 24866. Now the main difference between our two hitches here today is the construction. Our CURT hitch has a round tubular construction, which is more aesthetically pleasing in my mind, whereas our Draw-Tite is a rectangular construction. Today in this 2010 Volkswagen Jetta, we're going to install part number 24866 from Draw-Tite. All right, this is what the hitch looks like once installed on the car. Next, we'll give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories such as a bicycle carrier or a cargo carrier. From the center receiver opening to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be 4-1/4 inches and from the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 11 inches. Now, we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch in installed. All right, first step is to go ahead and remove the plastic fascia from underneath the passenger's side of the vehicle. more
