Ryan: Hey everyone. Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2016 Volkswagen Golf, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CURT Class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver. One of the things I really like about this hitch is that, for the most part, it's going to be completely hidden. The only thing you're going to see is your receiver tube. And since this does have a high gloss black powder coat finish, it actually matches the bottom of our bumper pretty good. more

Today on our 2016 Volkswagen Golf, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the EcoHitch Class II Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver.What I really like about this hitch is that, for the most part, it's going to be completely hidden. You're only going to see the receiver tube. And since it does have a black powder coat finish, it's going to blend in really good with the bottom of our bumper.Now, the main thing that sets this hitch apart from the others is that it's going to be made from recycled materials. So not only is it going to be sturdy, it's also going to reduce your carbon footprint.Our hitch is going to give us some pretty good clearance. more

Best 2016 Volkswagen Golf Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2016 Volkswagen Golf. Up top here we're going to have the Class 3 EcoHitch. Below that we're going to have the Class 2 CURT hitch. Then finally down here on the bottom we're going to have the Class 2 Draw-Tite.Now one of the biggest differences that we found is in regards to versatility. Our EcoHitch here is a Class 3, which means it's going to give us that 2" by 2" receiver tube opening, which has a lot of different options for accessories that we can mount up, all the way from a ball mount, a bike rack, or a cargo carrier. While with the other two, they're going to have an 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube opening, so we are going to be limited on some of those options.In regards to appearance, our EcoHitch and our Draw-Tite are going to be the best looking hitches. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Volkswagen Golf - Curt- Video
Today on our 2016 VW Golf GTI, we're going to be taking a look at installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class 1. Part number C11412. This is what it's going to look like once it's installed. You can see it's got a nice high gloss black powder coat finish. It's going to be an inch and a quarter by an inch and a quarter square tube with a half inch hitch pin hole. This is a class one hitch. more
