Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Toyota Venza

Rob: Everybody Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class Two Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2012 Toyota Venza. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to sit right below the bumper but it is a little bit tucked back and the main thing we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out.Now it is a Class Two hitch, which means it's going to give us an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, which can be great for some light duty towing or if we want to put a bike rack or a cargo carrier on here, that way we can keep as much space on the inside of our Venza for passengers and pets. Now regardless of what kind of accessories you're going to be using your hitch with, all of them are going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is going to accept a standard half inch pin and clip. However, these are not going to come with the hitch, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com along with some locking devices and anti-rattle devices to keep your accessories secure and a cutdown on an annoying rattling sound when we're driving down the road. Now if you're going to be telling a trailer, obviously you need a spot to hook up your safety chains. Here we have really large openings. They're going to be a plate style, welded to the bottom of the receiver tube and whether we have the normal size hooks, we'll have plenty of room to get him hooked on or take them off or if we have some really oversized large hooks, still going to have plenty of room to get those hooks engaged and take them off.Now again, if you're going to be telling a trailer, one thing did you want to keep in mind there is a specific draw bar that's made for this hitch and it is going to be sold separately, but you can find it here at etrailer.com.Now if you're looking for a hitch for your Venza, you obviously have something you want to do and you want to make sure that the hitch is going to be up to the task. more
