Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2017 Toyota Highlander, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver. But before we do that, why don't we check it out and make sure that this is something that's gonna work for you. With these Highlanders being really versatile as these, people are using them to do a little bit of everything, whether you're pulling a trailer or even using an accessory and not to mention too, they look great. They have a really nice appearance. And so if it was me and I was looking for a hitch for my own Highlander, I think two things have come to my mind. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hi there Highlander owners. Today in your 2017 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install CURT's Class 3, 2 inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. We'll only be able to see the receiver here at the back as the cross tube is hidden completely behind the bumper.It's a Class 3, 2 inch by 2 inch receiver. So it's going to be great for all of your towing needs. Whether you want to put a bike rack in here and load it up with some bikes to tip the trail, or if you want to hook up a small pop-up camper and go out for the weekend. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Toyota Highlander we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the etrailer Class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number e98844.So here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. It is going to sit right below the bumper with that cross tube being visible. And since it's a Class three, it is going to offer us that two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening, which is going to be great for all sorts of accessories all the way from a ball mount to tow something, a bike rack or a cargo carrier.The way we're going to mount any of those accessories is through the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. While these aren't included in the kit, you can pick them up here at etrailer.com. As far as the safety chain connection points goes, it's going to be a plate style, welded to the bottom. more

Best 2017 Toyota Highlander Trailer Hitch Receiver Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2017 Toyota Highlander. Here on top we're going to have etrailer's hitch, part number E98844. Here we're going to have a Draw-Tite, part number 75896. This one here, we're going to have another Draw-Tite, part number 76156. Here on the bottom we're going to have the CURT, part number 13200.One of the noticeable differences between these four hitches is this Draw-Tite here is going to have more of a square or rectangle-style crosstube, where our other three are going to have a round tube. Now this could make a difference on how it looks on the back of the vehicle.Now as far as our safety chain hookups, our etrailer hitch, our top Draw-Tite, and the lower CURT are going to have plate-style safety chain hookups. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Toyota Highlander, we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite max frame class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number 76156. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. What's great about this hitch, is that the majority of it is hidden behind our fascia. We only see a little bit of the frame hanging down. The main part that we see is the receiver itself.Now this hitch has one great feature if you're planning on using it to tow a trailer. If we're towing a trailer, we need to have a lighting system in order to legally and safely tow a trailer. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Toyota Highlander - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2017 Toyota Highlander we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw Tite Max-E Loader Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75896. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. One thing that you'll notice about this hitch is we have plenty of clearance around our receiver, making this an ideal hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers. Now, on the side of our receiver you'll find our industry standard 5/8 of an inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories with a pin and clip, which is sold separately on our website as part number PC3. Towards the end of our receiver we have a second hole right here, and what that hole is for, is for a J pin stabilization device. What that does, is it takes away the annoying shake, play and rattle out of the device that is inserted in your receiver, such as your bike rack or cargo carrier. Some bike racks and cargo carriers don't have anti-rattle devices built into them. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Toyota Highlander - Curt- Video
Today, on our 2017 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number C13200. This is what out hitch looks like when it's installed. It has a nice, round, cross-tube design, contours with the shape of the vehicle. It's going to be a Class 3, two inch by two inch with a 5/8 inch hitch pin hole. It's going to have a flat plate design safety chain hook up. It's got plenty of space for many different sized safety chain hooks. This hitch is going to have a 900-pound max tongue weight which is a downward force on your receiver tube. It's also going to have a 6,000-pound max gross trailer weight which includes everything loaded on the trailer. more
