Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2015 Toyota Highlander we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CURT class three trailer hitch receiver. So one thing I do like about this hitch is that for the most part it's going to be completely hidden. The receiver tube is going to stick out a little bit but it's still going to be less noticeable than some of the other hitches available.Now one benefit to the hitch coming out a little ways is that it's going to work really well for those folding accessories. And that's because it's going to give us a little bit more clearance. So when we do go to use any folding accessories, like a bike rack, cargo carrier, whatever you might have, you're going to have more than enough room to put it in that upright position and know that it's going to work correctly.With these Highlanders being really versatile SUV's you're going to be able to use them to do a little bit of everything. more

Best 2015 Toyota Highlander Trailer Hitch Receiver Options- Video

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2015 Toyota Highlander. Here on top we're going to have etrailer's hitch, part number E98844. Here we're going to have a Draw-Tite, part number 75896. This one here, we're going to have another Draw-Tite, part number 76156. Here on the bottom we're going to have the CURT, part number 13200.One of the noticeable differences between these four hitches is this Draw-Tite here is going to have more of a square or rectangle-style crosstube, where our other three are going to have a round tube. Now this could make a difference on how it looks on the back of the vehicle.Now as far as our safety chain hookups, our etrailer hitch, our top Draw-Tite, and the lower CURT are going to have plate-style safety chain hookups. more

This is what the hitch looks like once installed on our Highlander. You'll notice that the hitch has round tube construction that fits underneath the edge of the bumper. This also wraps around the spare tire as well. This also gives it clearance to go around a spare tire if you ever need to lower it. more
