etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over, and showing you how to install the etrailer trailer hitch receiver here, on a 2010 Toyota Highlander. So this is what our trailer hitch is gonna look like installed on our vehicle. Now it does have a visible cross tube design, but it also has a matte black powder coated finish, which is really gonna help it blend in with the underbody paneling on the vehicle. It's also gonna help protect our hitch from rust and corrosion. So adding a trailer hitch to your Highlander, it's gonna be an excellent option, because it's gonna make your vehicle that much more versatile. Now we can obviously use a trailer hitch for towing, but if we wanted to hit some trails, or just simply free up some space inside the vehicle for us and the family on those long road trips, we could easily attach either a hitch-mounted bike rack or a hitch-mounted cargo carrier. more

Best 2010 Toyota Highlander Hitch Options- Video
Today on our 2010 Toyota Highlander we'll be looking at the most popular hitch options available, starting with the CURT class three here on the top, part number 13534. Then we have a Draw-Tite class three here in the middle, part number 75726. Then we have another Draw-Tite class three here on the bottom, part number 75586. You can see all of our hitches have a very similar design. The CURT and the Draw-Tite here in the middle, they both slide over our muffler on the passenger side of the vehicle, whereas the Draw-Tite here on the bottom goes underneath it. The Draw-Tite on the bottom will be the easiest to install because you don't have to wiggle it in position over the muffler and tailpipe. Now they all have generally the same points of attachment. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Toyota Highlander- Video
Today on this 2010 Toyota Highlander we are going to be installing Curt hitch part number 13534. Starting over on the driver side we have got an existing tow hook that is held in with two bolts and you need to remove those two bolts and we will be using those weld nuts in the frame as our two rear most attaching points. Further up the frame you can see we have got a plug. We are going to remove that plug to expose the weld nut and that is going to provide our third attaching point for the trailer hitch. You can move to the outboard passenger side of the frame you can see we have got three plugs in it. We want to remove all three of those and we are going to be using the two outer most holes as our side attaching points. Again we have got the same tow hook. We are going to remove the two bolts holding it in and those are going to be our two attaching points for the bottom of the frame. 00:40 more
