Best 2018 Toyota Corolla Trailer Hitch Options

Ryan: Today we're going to be taking a look at your best hitch options for your 2003 to 2018 Toyota Corolla, as well as your 2019 Toyota Corolla sedan. Hey guys, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Here up top we have our Draw-Tite hitch, and below that is the CURT hitch. One of the main differences I found was in its appearance. As you can see up top, the Draw-Tite is lacking a reinforced collar, unlike the CURT, which the collar is reinforced. In my opinion as well, the CURT just has a nicer finish. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Toyota Corolla, you're going to be taking a look at . I'm going to show you how to install the Draw-Tite Class I Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 24913. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Toyota Corolla - Curt

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2018 Toyota Corolla, you're going to be taking a look at . I'm going to show you how to install the Curt Class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C11265.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. As you can see, the cross tube is visible. However, it does have a round tube design, so it's going to fit with the contour of the vehicle. This is going to be a Class 1, it's going be an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter. It's going to have plate style safety chain loops and you can see it's got plenty of room for different sized safety chain hooks.Hitch pin hole is going to be half inch in diameter. Now, the receiver tube does sit nice and tucked up, underneath the bumper fascia, so you're not going to have to worry about hitting your legs or your shins on it.You're going to have a 200 lbs max tongue weight, which is the downward pressure of the inside of the receiver tube. It's going to have a 2,000 lbs maximum trailer weight, which is the trailer plus the load included. Now, I do recommend checking your owners manual to make sure your vehicle can withstand that amount of weight and you're going to want to pick the lowest number between the vehicle and the hitch. Now, Curt does recommend the use of stabilization straps for any non-wheeled loads. Now, this hitch does have a reinforced collar to give you a little extra stability on your receiver tube. more
