Jake: Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install this Draw-Tite hitch on our 2018 Subaru Forester.This is going to be a two-inch by two-inch hitch receiver, so it's going to be great for any small trailers, bike racks, cargo carriers, et cetera. It's going to have your standard five-eighths-inch pin hole to be able to fit those pins through to be able to lock in your accessories. It's also going to have a loop to be able to hook your safety chains on and a J-pin hole to be able to insert your J-pin if this is the style pin you like using. With this hitch, you are going to have a 525-pound tongue weight rating and a trailer weight rating of 3,500 pounds. But you are going to want to check with your Forrester's owner's manual to be able to see if your car can handle that weight. more

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Subaru Forester

Today in our 2018 Subaru forester, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class II Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver.Here's where our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. You'll see that the cross tube is going to sit right below the bumper, but it is tucked back quite away, so all we're really gonna see is the receiver tube here at the end. Now, this is class two hitch, which means it's going to give us an inch and a quarter by an inch and a quarter receiver tube opening and it's going to be really nice for bike racks or some smaller cargo carriers.Where we're going to attach any of our accessories is through the hitch pin hole here on the side. Our hitch is going to accept a standard half inch pin and clip. Now, these are not included in the kit, but you can pick them up here etrailer.com along with some locking devices to make sure your accessories stay secure.If you do plan on doing some light duty towing, keep in mind there is a specific draw bar made for this hitch. Today in our 2018 Subaru Forester we're going to be installing etrailer.com's Class III 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number E98839. It's a Class III 2" x 2" hitch, so it's going to be great for all of your towing needs from bike racks to cargo carriers to trailers, it'll handle it all. It uses a 5/8" hitch pin. That one doesn't come included with your hitch, but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com. It uses plate-style safety chain loops and has a very large opening, so it'll accommodate just about every shape and style of safety chain.It features a 525 pound tongue weight, which is the force going down on top of the receiver, and a 3,500 pound gross towing capacity. That's how much you can pull behind it. more

Speaker 1: Today, in our 2018 Subaru Forester, we're going to be installing Draw-Tite's class three, 2-inch trailer hitch receiver, part number 75876. The receiver tube's going to be visible at the back, and if you get down low, you will be able to see the cross tube, however it's tucked underneath pretty far. So most of the time, you won't be able to notice it.It's a class three, two inch by two inch receiver. It's going to work great with ball mounts, bike rack carriers, and just about any other accessory that you can think of. It's uses a 5/8-inch hitch pin, which does not come included, but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com using part number PC3. The smaller hole in front of the hitch pin hole will allow it accommodate a J-pin, which will come in and contact the shank on whatever's inside your hitch, acting as anti-rattle device. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Forester, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class II custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number C12100.So, here's what our hitch is gonna look like. It is gonna sit just right below our bumper, but mainly we're just gonna be seeing the receiver tube sticking out. Now, it is a class II hitch, which means it's gonna give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, and it has a reinforced collar, not only giving it added strength, but just an overall nice look to it.There's gonna be a lot of different options of accessories that we can mount, and they're all gonna mount right here. It's gonna accept the standard half inch pin and clip. Now, these are included in the kit, which is a nice bonus. The safety chain connection points are gonna be a plate style, welded to the bottom of the receiver tube here. more

So here's what our hitch is going to look like. Now the really nice thing about this hitch is the fact that we're not going to have any cross tube that's going to be visible. All we're going to see is that receiver tube right below our bumper.Our hitch is going to be a class three hitch, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and have a lot of different accessories that are going to be available for it. It's going to have that reinforced collar giving it added strength and has an overall nice finished look to it. Now we're going to mount all of our accessories to this pin hole here. more

So here is what our hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed. It is gonna sit right below the bumper, and the cross tube is gonna be visible just right below, and kinda back in behind the bumper area. It is a class three hitch, which means it's gonna give us that two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening, and as you can see, it has a nice reinforced collar, not only giving it added strength, but just an overall clean, finished look to it. Since this is a class three, there's gonna be a wide variety of accessories that are available for the hitch, and they're all gonna mount right here using a standard Five Ace pen and clip. Now neither of these are included in the kit, but you can pick them up on our website using part number PC3.Now as far as the safety chain connection points go, it's gonna be a plate style that's loaded into the bottom of the receiver tube here, and as you can see, there's gonna be plenty of room to get your most size hooks on and off. more
