Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2015 RAM 1500. Here we have your top four hitches for your RAM 1500. Here we're going to have etrailer's Class III hitch. This one over here, we're gonna have Curt's Class III hitch. Here on our rack on the bottom, we're gonna have Draw-Tite's Class V. Here on the top, we're going to have Curt's Class V.As far as ease of installation, I'm going to have to give that to the two Class III hitches. more

Now, you can see the crosstube; however, it's got a rounded design, fit the contour of the vehicle.It's going to be 2" x 2". The front hole here is going to be a 5/8" hitch pinhole. Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Ram 1500 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the current class three trailer hitch receiver. Part number 13374.This is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. You an see the cross tube a little bit but it does have a rounded design to fit the contour of the vehicle. It's going to be a class three, it's going to be a two inch by two inch, it's going to have a 5/8 inch hitch pin hole, plate style safety chain hookup, it's going to fit many different size safety chain hooks. It also is going to have a rainforest collar to give it a little more extra stability on the receiver tube.You're going to have a 600 pound max tongue weight which is the downward pressure on the inside of the receiver tube. And you're going to have a 6,000 pound max trailer weight, which is your trailer plus your load included.I do recommend checking your owners manual to make sure your vehicle can withstand that amount of weight. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Ram 1500 - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2015 Ram 1500 we'll be installing the Draw Tite Ultra Frame Class 5 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 41948. We have a large diameter frame that goes across, very strong and very structural. You can see our 5/8 inch diameter hitch pin hole is reinforced on the outside edge on both sides of our receiver. One nice thing about this hitch, even though it's a Class 5 hitch and a very substantial hitch, it still tucks in behind our bumper here of our vehicle, so when we're loading the bed of our truck, we don't have to worry about running our shins or knees into the receiver on the hitch. This Class 5 hitch has a 1,500 pound max gross tongue weight rating and a 12,000 pound max gross trailer weight rating. If you step up to weight distribution, you're max tongue weight stays the same at 1,500 pounds but your max gross trailer weight rating increases to 15,000 pounds. You'll want to consult with the owner's manual of your Ram 1500 first before you tow at that limit. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Ram 1500 - Curt 14374- Video
Today in our 2015 RAM 1500, we'll be installing the Curt Class 4 trailer hitch receiver, part number 14374. As you can see it's nice and tucked up underneath our bumper. Doesn't stick out any behind it either so you don't have to worry about running into the receiver or loading the bed of our truck. We have these nice, easy to use safety chain loops right here so we can hook up our safety chains of our trailer. You can see it's of substantial plate that's welded to the bottom of our receiver and to the frame of our hitch itself. We have our standard 5/8 of an inch diameter hitch pin hole right here, so secure any of our hitch mounting accessories that we have. We have this nice reinforcement collar welded to the front of our receiver right here where we insert our accessories. This hitch feature a 1,000 lb max tongue weight rating and a 10,000 lb max gross trailer weight rating. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Ram 1500 - Curt C15572- Video
Today on our 2015 Ram 1500, we'll be installing the Curt Class V Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C15572. This is a Class V hitch, so it can handle a substantial amount of weight. That's why we need to have this frame, versus just utilizing the factory hitch attachment points that would be right here on a small square. It's very heavy duty. They're made to handle a lot of weight and abuse. You can just see by the thickness of our safety chain loops here how substantial it is, being welded all to the bottom of the receiver, and all the way back to the frame of the hitch itself. This hitch will work great for you if you're in construction, or doing a lot of heavy duty work with heavy duty equipment, and you have to tow a big trailer behind you with a lot of weight, but you can't utilize a goose neck or a fifth wheel trailer, this will work out perfectly for you. We have these easy use safety chain loops right here. We have our standard 5/8ths inch diameter hitch pin hole right here, and a nice collar welded around the opening of our receiver to add some reinforcement to it. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Ram 1500 - Draw-Tite 75662- Video
Today on our 2015 Ram 1500 we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame class three trailer hitch receiver, part number 75662. As you can see, it looks just like a factory hitch would. It's tucked up nice underneath our rear bumper here. Have our nice, easy to use safety chain loops. They're real large openings, so we can put large safety chains through there without a problem. We have our standard 5/8" diameter hitch pinhole here. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Ram 1500 - Curt 13333- Video
Today on our 2015 Ram 1500, we'll be installing the Curt class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number 13333. All right, here's what our hitch looks like installed. Really easy to use safety chain loops off to the side on plate that's welded all the way around our receiver and goes to the frame of the hitch itself. We have this nice collar around our class 3 receiver for the 2 inch opening of it. We have our standard 5/8 inch diameter hitch pin hole here. Really, really easy to hook up any of our accessories to this hitch because as you can see it extends past our bumper a little bit on our vehicle. more
