Today, were working on a 2009 Pontiac Vibe. We are going to install a draw-tite hitch part number 24812. This will be comparable with hidden hitch part number 60898. Here are a couple of measurements that will assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost point of the bumper is 3 inches, and from the top of the receiver to the ground is 11 inches. This will assist you with selecting accessories such a draw bar, a bike rack or a cargo carrier. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2009 Pontiac Vibe C12228- Video
Today, on this 2009 Pontiac Vibe, we will be installing Curt hitch part number 12228. Okay, we are underneath the vehicle and we are looking at the drivers side frame rail. As you can see here at the end of the frame , we have got two existing weld nuts. Those are going to provide our two attaching points on the drivers side for our trailer hitch. We will be attaching the hitch to the weld nuts using the 12mm bolts and conical tooth washer. And on the passenger side, we will be using the same two weld nuts and same bolt washer combination.
