Best 2008 Nissan Xterra Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2008 Nissan Xterra. The hitches we'll be looking at are the CURT class three hitch, part number 13514, and the Draw-Tite class three hitch, part number 75291. The first major difference that we're going to see between these two hitches are when the CURT's on there, it's a little bit more aesthetically pleasing than the Draw-Tite. Just with the way that this reinforcement collar is made and the plate that's along the top just helps give it a little bit cleaner look. Another major difference that you're going to see between these two is the safety chain connection points. Down here on the Draw-Tite we've got the plate-style with the oval holes cut in them. Those give us pretty good access for a lot of safety chain connections, but up here on the CURT we've got the rolled steel safety chain connections. more

Today on our 2008 Nissan Xterra, we'll be installing the Draw Tite class 3 trailer hitch part number 75291. Here what the hitch looks like installed in our vehicle. Now we'll give you a couple of measurements in helping you chose some accessories for your hitch such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 18 inches. From the center of hitch pin hold to the outer most edge of the bumper it is even. Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. Now we've already gone ahead and lowered the spare tire out of the way. more

Now we'll give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 18 inches. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper, it is even. Now we'll give you a couple measurements, in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a wall mount, a bicycle rack, or cargo carrier. In the center of the hitch pin hole, to the outer-most edge of the bumper, is even. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground, is approximately 17-1/2 inches.
