Best 2014 Nissan Rogue Trailer Hitch Options

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be checking out our best trailer hitch options for the 2014 Nissan Rogue. We're gonna be looking at three different hitches available for the road: the etrailer.com, the CURT, and the Draw-Tite. And don't get me wrong, they're all fairly similar to the next one, but if you we're to ask me what one I would pick for my own Rogue, it'd be either the etrailer or the CURT. Honestly, I'd lean more towards the etrailer one just 'cause I like the way it looks a little bit better, the finish of it, more of a matte black, and I think it blends in a little bit, but that's not the only reason, the appearance. The etrailer and the CURT are going to have a little bit higher Tongue Weight capacities, so you can load them down a little bit more, and the receiver tube is gonna come out just a little bit further than the Draw-Tite, so it buys you a little bit of extra bumper clearance. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Nissan Rogue - Curt

Today on this 2014 Nisan Rogue, we're going to show you the Curt Class III 2" Receiver Hitch, part number C13204. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on our Rogue. On first glance, all you can see is the receiver tube from beneath the bumper coming out to the edge of the bumper right here. If we look on the outside it has a reinforcement around the edge. For safety chains it has a loop style hook up here, this uses a 5/8" hitch pin or your favorite locking pin. This reach goes almost all the way back towards the exhaust, which clears it by at least a few inches, then the arms go out from underneath and up into the frame. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Nissan Rogue - Draw-Tite

Today on our 2014 Nissan Rouge, we'll be installing the DrawTite hitch, part number 75902. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the fascia panel on each side. To remove these fascia panels, we'll remove the push pin fasteners, three in total, and then a screw out center push pin fastener towards the front of the fascia. Note, there are panels on both sides and we're removing both. These fasteners are the same on each side. Now to remove the push pin fasteners, we're going to pry out on the center of the fastener with a flat blade screwdriver and then remove the fastener completely. To remove the screw out center push pin fastener, at the front of the fascia, you'll have to have a gentle hand as you screw the center out and then remove the fascia. With our fascia out, we'll set it aside for re-installation later. Now, move over to the driver's side and repeat the same process. Now, with our panels out of the way, it'll open up the frame rail. However, on the passenger side, we'll still need to remove the tow hook, which is secured by a total of four fasteners. more
